Excellent - just got my papers through and looks like £7000 credit limit heading my way - as soon as this card is over the threshold it's getting destroyed so no sneaky purchases can be made on it

*Just re-read that I meant the front door threshold - not the Limit threshold :)*

    I was the same xxdiddiexx.
I was worried as well & asked for a note to be put on my account to reflect that I was concerned at questions being asked.then asked to speak to the supervisor as when BT was being done person kept referring to wrong card type.
Better to be safe than sorry I think.

    It's the M&S &More card:

We got £5k, but we are on a fixed income and have other cards, so no problems with that limit, and they do review after 6 months apparantly.:T
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
  • Got my limit increased today. They asked me how much I wanted and I told them £1k which is all I need.

At first the Indian Man tried to tell me that I had to wait a few months as the account had only just been opened. When I told him I had called the other day and was told to call beack, he soon changed his tune.

Beginning to wonder if I should have asked for a bigger limit - but I am glad I didn't. I don't need anymore than that, and besides I'm saving not spending money at the moment. I want to buy a shared ownership flat next year, so saving about £600 a month! It's tough - but I'm determined.
  • I received my card this morning. 6K limit, which is about average for my other cards.

Only problem is I haven't received my PIN number yet, so the Christmas shopping can't be started until that arrives.

I got 5k limit but at 3.9% LOB and interest rates on the up i'd be surprised if they'll hand out increases willy nilly. Having said that i'll try them for another 1k myself its unbeatable at the mo.
