Credit Limits on New M&S 3.9%LOB/12m 0% Purchases Card

I got a 5k limit straightaway and bt'd it all, £15 something interest for a month on my first statement is a great deal on a loan of 5k.

I've just applied for a card and was told I'd get a email within 48 hours... is this common?

my card is up and running.

rang to up my credit limit - but was ringing someone in india and couldn't really understand what he was saying.Basically I said I would need at least £3000 instead of £1500 and they said no, i may get an extra £1000k after 6 months? but then I can't BT fee free!!!!. Well at least my egg card is sorted (16.9%) but still got £1300 in HSBC @ 9.9%. well Martins always saying sort cc out by %, ill just wait for another bargin card to come along.

I applied and although the paperwork said project charge for credit £ 1,500 £ 131.08, they sent me a card with a £500.00 limit. What the hell good is that? :mad:

I have about £1,200 I'd like to transfer from other Credi Cards, and my 0% Sky card runs out on the 31st december. I've had the M&S card about a month now, and was going to call them up about the balance, but never got round to it.

Is it too late?

Well I just called them up to see if they would increase the limit to £1k (don't need any more than that) and they told me they couldn't do anything at the moment as the office is closed. And that was fatre they wanted to know how much I earned and whether or not I owned or rented. Surely they don't need to ask this as they would have it all already?

She then took the opportunity to try and flog me Card Protection Insurance, House Insurance and Carf Insurance. I don't even own a flipping car.. :mad:

How did you find out yout limit was only £500 ehrn you recieved the card? Does it say somewhere in the leaflets or did you put it in an ATM? I just got my card this morning.

I said above that when I received the card it had a £500 limit. The limit is in the top right hand corner of the paper that the card is on.

I got £1500, need £2500 so by the sounds of it i have a chance if i ring up and ask.

I'm worried now. When I called on Sat I got through to India and was asked a lot of security questions and now I'm concerned that I gave them too much info that my Identity could be stolen. This being in light of the Documentary on TV about Indian Call Centres asking people all sorts of security questions, then flogging it to the highest bidder.

Can anyone else tell me if they were asked the following when they called for an increase?
