hello, love the diary, very positive! lucky you getting chickens, was looking at pictures on my intranet as someone is selling some on there and they were so cute! i really wanted some as pets but i dont eat eggs so not really a justified expense! think i will stick to my plan to get a hamster :D

that is fantastic your new job is so close by, that will make a massive difference to your life now! yum to the thai cooking, i did a course when i was in thailand and it is suprising how few ingredients you need and how quick it is to prepare!

    :)

    Hi Missy:wave:,

    Welcome back, I missed you!

Well done on changing the job, good for you, I'm very jealous :D. Not the salary though, you're one brave chick to drop your salary for that amount, glad your OH gives you so much support!

And well done getting the chicks, it will be fun (not the cleaning up though ;) ). My mum used to have them though they all died within a couple of months, maybe she wasn't feeding them often enough :o?

I've got lots to tell you but better open a diary as from going to have tons of savings we have appr. £30k debts now- but it's all worth it, we're buying our dream place next week!!! I'll post a link once the diary is up and running.

Take care and have a nice weekend, xxx

Hey cheery lovely to see you over here.

Well I've had a rather productive day, although rather expensive. Had to go to the pet shop and buy all my chicken stuff, which wasn't cheap but will last for ages and next time I can get it from the internet which I think will be cheaper. Wasn't the most pleasant experience I have to say, trouble was the shop was full of men which made me nervous and I end up talking all the posher when I'm nervous and ended up coming across as some dizzy posh bint (when I'm not posh at all, but maybe a little bit on the dizzy side:o)who had no idea what they were talking about....grrrrr rather cross with myself, which I wasn't so easily embarrassed!!

Went to my mums after and had a nice cuppa though which helped make everything a bit better. We then went into town and mum bought lunch then we had a wander around the shops, even went into some charity shops (where I ended Up buying lots of books which cost me £10)
But in fairness they were cheap and I will read them especially with the shorter hours I'll be working :D;)

And then was doing so well until I passed a fabric shop and
(ended up buying some material) But also in my defence it is for my jam making which I shall be starting as soon as the plums ripen, it is to make them look more attractive so I can sell them for that little bit more :D See I've thought through all of my excuses.

On a better note went into the 99p shop (my goodness there were some weird and wonderful people in there!!) and bought a lock for my bike, a puncture repair kit, some lights and some batteries, which is all stuff that I will need when i start my little bikeathon to work every day.

Even went into matalan and only brought some socks and some underwear which I needed. I usually end up spending an absolute fortune then feel horrendous about it and have to take them back! But not this time, can't believe it really, am finally learning :T I think most of it is due to the pay cut sinking in, which has to be a good thing:D

Well I'm almost all ready for the chick chicks to come tomorrow. Will need to get up early to sort the hen house out though. Am a little nervous, just want them to be ok and happy, but I'll talk to them a lot and try and keep them entertained if nothing else :D

Need to also do a major clean up tomorrow, house looks like a bomb has hit it, again :o Really need to get organised and motivated!

Hope you all enjoyed your saturdays

Omg have just been onto this website http://listentotaxman.com (not sure if I am allowed to post websites if not please by all means remove it, thank you)

Anyways I had a look and it appears that I have worked my new wages out incorrectly:o..... that instead of £730 per month I shall be getting £878 per month. How fantastic:j, although do feel somewhat silly for not working it out right in the first place:o! So doing all my sums again very quickly in my head, which as we have proved is maybe not the best idea!! But anyway going on that, due to all the things I wont have to pay due to cutting down and new job etc. And when all of my (much smaller) out goings have gone out I am left with only about £100 less than I would have had before!!!! :DOMG That is fantastic, now I can save even more money :T

Life wont be quite as hard as I thought, but I am determined to make that extra money count I will just put even more into my savings. I would really love to save £500 a month, but I think that might be a stretch too far, but if I can save £400 I'll be happy:T

Oooh think I might have a cuppa to celebrate:D

this working out stuff really does pay off doesn't it;):T

awww thanks DC (may I call you DC I hope you don't mind) didn't expect anyone else to be up at this ridiculous time on a sundaym just thought I would be rambling away to myself!

I have thought of some names, but the chickens are all exactly the same so I think I might struggle to tell them apart!!! We will see though. Really do need to get my a*se out of bed but it's so warm under the duvet. Atleast it's not raining, which would have been rather rubbish!

Really need to go out and check on my veggies too, haven't watered them for a couple of days as it has rained so much!

Right ten more minutes and must get on!
