Invoices in your name I guess?
It's not an area of the business I get involved with that often. I just know that if you want a business acc you have to show you run a business...
Possibly.
Anyway I seemed to get a business account by accident, but as I mentioned now back on a domestic tariff after getting screwed around by o2.0 -
Anybody can set up as a Sole Trader without needing to do anything, so it wouldn't be fraud, just say you've set up as a sole trader and then you're pefectly within your rights to call yourself a business.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0

only other thing to be warey of is that the credit check may be different for business tariffs (sole trader I wouldn't think would be too different to a personal but just something to keep in mind)Yes Your Dukeiness0

Apart from the little matter of registering your sole trader status with HMRC.............
Alot of businesses are now asking for the tax id HMRC sends you when you register as a sole trader, to prove you are actually running a business.
And OP have you factored in the VAT cost, business plans usually show the tariff cost minus VAT, not sucha huge saving when thats added, along with you having less rights as a business customer, the DSR wont apply etc etc0 -

You only have to register with HMRC after trading for 3 months, for the purposes of setting up a phone contract you shouldn't need to be trading for 3 months.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0 -
Abbey/Santander allow a basic business account with debit card to anyone in your name or XXX T/A(trading as) - same credit check as a personal account, so its not that hard to prove it to even Orange Jon 01.If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0
