Not sure why car isn't selling - feedback anyone?

I think this has been said enough times by now, but the price is too high...
Parkers lists that model with 80,000 miles as being worth £1380 "private sale, good condition"...
Ok yours has 55,000 miles but that might make it worth another £100 or so... nothing like the £2000+ that you are asking.
The newer (nicer looking IMHO) model came out in 2002 as well so I suspect that for similar money people can get a lot better looking car.
Sorry if this offends, it isn't meant to, just honest straight advice.
Some examples:
Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
Example 4
The last one above is directly above yours in the search... have a look at the interior on it (for less money) compared to yours. Not saying your interior is bad for the car, just the newer was much nicer.

Sadly, potential buyers will not consider that fact when buying a car.0 -

I would consider that fact and so would many dealers, They would consider you may to get desperate to sell it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I very much doubt that many dealers would want to pay much over a grand for an old shape Vectra.;)0 -

I think Forgotmyname's point was that dealers who sense a customer is desperate are more lilkey to drive a hard bargain.
I wouldn't expect a dealer to take pity - they exist to make a living, not subsidise customers who are desperate.
Not having a go or criticising anyone or their position - just pointing out that dealers are trying to make a living to pay their mortgages too
