We had a lovely day out but I am exhausted now. I don't know how I managed to commute to London every day for 15 years - and some of that was when I first went back to work when DD was 5 months old! I can't believe I used to do it and have all the other stuff to do like making up bottles, sterilising etc when I got home. I suppose because I had to
All in all quite an MSE day. The train for was only £11.70 return for the two of us. I was good and didn't spend any money in the gift shops. We took a packed lunch and all I spent was £4 on 2 icecreams.
Did a food shop when we got back and it was within my £40 budget (just) so I'm really pleased with that. The rest of the weekend will be no spend too. Going to an antiques fair with WLM tomorrow afternoon, then a swim and dinner at a hotel he's a member of and he's paying :T. Sunday is a rescheduled pre-xmas family get together that was cancelled in December because of the snow. Really looking forward to that. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

I think I have found a new hobby. I loved it at the antiques fair. Loads of stuff to just look at, I could have spent all day there. DD didn't enjoy it much but the 3 days I've had off this week have been all doing stuff that she wants to do so time for something I want to do. I loved it anyway - a bit like going to a boot fair but without the riff-raff
All in all another fab weekend. Lovely meal yesterday evening although the service was terrible - really slow. I think that's the problem with large hotel chains - they have too many youngsters doing the work and no one really managing them properly.
Lovely day today seeing family. Off to bed in a bit but not before I've checked on the surveys
£34.60 on OnePoll. I will get there before the end of the week I hope! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Just updated my cashbook with my spends for this weekend and all I had to write in was the train fares on Friday and the week's food shopping. Easy peasy. The balance isn't quite as large as I'd like it to be but CB goes in on Tuesday so that will make it look a lot healthier.
Need to buy some paint this week for DD's room. I'm going to start painting it on Saturday. WLM is coming round Friday so he can make an early start Saturday morning dismantling her huge wardrobe that takes up so much space. Then I think I might even order her carpet Sunday....really need to get that down before I can get the cabin bed etc from my friend. There's no point that being assembled if the carpet isn't down. I think I'm going to have to put up with having all DD's clothes in carrier bags in my room until I can get her new smaller wardrobe. I know WLM thinks I'm mad to get rid of the wardrobe she's got but it is huge and dark, it shrinks the room and really dictates where everything else goes. I inherited it from the previous owner of this house so it's not as if I'm throwing money away. All her new furniture will be white and bright. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Sounds like a lovely weekend:)

I had thought about that but it's falling apart at the back so i couldn't really ask for more than £10 and as I really need to get it dismantled quickly I think it would be too much hassle. Maybe I would feel differently if I'd bought it myself. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I wish i had some more days off this week
I'm really in the mood for having a good clearout. I think i will do some tonight anyway. I need to sort out all DD's clothes so there isn't too much cluttering up my room. I bet this is the one week when we don't get one of those charity bags pushed through the door
I've done a few surveys. None from OnePoll though  If I remember last time I got near £40 the surveys seemed to dry up....
Not gone for a run today. It is freezing cold and wet outside. I am a fairweather runnerIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
