£35 on OnePoll - I am on the home strait
I've just gone through DD's wardrobe and found loads of stuff that we can get rid of. Some of it is really decent though - Monsoon, Autograph, Next etc. I really should Ebay it all. Rather than do loads of separate items I was going to bundle up the various ages but having looked at everything there are some things aged 7-8 that are smaller than things aged just 6 years. There's a beautiful Monsoon summer dress which I think would fit a 4-5 year old but the label says 6-7 years!!! Would it be wrong to use my discretion and put bundles together of things that i think would fit a 6 year old regardless of what the label says? Arghh what to do? Maybe I'll just list the really nice dresses as separate items on Ebay and give the other stuff to charity.
Went to B & Q to look at paint and came away with 3 sample pots, none of which I like now I've seen them on the wallThere is a Farrow & Ball colour that we have on the walls at work which i think would be just perfect. It's a really neutral greeny sort of colour. I know F & B are expensive but I don't mind paying extra for the right colour and they do go on the walls so nicely. They don't sell them in B & Q so I need to pop to Homebase tomorrow lunchtime if I don't go for a run and buy a tester pot there. Also treated myself to a Yankee Candle in B & Q - Crisp Linen, very nice.
Made my weekly phone call to the CSA. Last Tuesday they faxed the copies of the paperwork that the employer said they had lost the previous week and surprise surprise the fax failed so they had to be posted out. More delay tactics I reckon. My case worker is calling me back tomorrow. Watch this space....

We are going on holiday!! :j:j:j Abroad!! :jNot until the summer though. WLM has booked us to go and visit his mum who lives in Spain. Her place has a guest apartment attached to it and there's a pool and it's right near the beach. Woohoo can't wait!! Of course I now have to get in shape for the beach and also find spending money and get a summer wardrobe together but no matter, these things always tend to work themselves out. I'm so excitedIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0

My CSA caseworker rang me back today and she still hasn't had the paperwork back from his employer. She isn't in tomorrow so she has said that if she gets it back on Thursday she can start calculating the payments and get a schedule sent out to me. BUT.....because they have some 'checkers' in at the moment, all new/reassessed cases have to be checked so by the time that's done the employer will have missed the 19 March cut off date for making the first payment so I am looking at 19 April at the VERY earliest for receiving any money

If you go into B&Q with a colour match of The Farrow and Ball paint, you will probably be able to get very similar to it.
Sorry CSA are being a pain, apparently it is common.
And yep MeaniesBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Not been on here for ages, I seem to have lost subscription somehow. Anyway, lots going on. Hope the CSA gets sorted soon. At least as you have managed so far you can put any arrears towards the exciting holiday when you get them maybe?
Glad to see that you are getting started on DDs room bet she is excited. I have no clue when it comes to kiddie clothes but I would reckon that you would be better putting nice dresses on seperately stating the label size but mention re what you think. There is also a site called the Big Wardrobe which also allows swaps as well as sales i think. Might be worth a look. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. I thought about doing this but I think it would be the Dulux colour matching that they do. I really hate Dulux paint! It dries up so quickly! I know the F&B is expensive but it goes on so nicely - a real pleasure to paint withIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Thanks Cheri I didn't know about this website, I'll take a look. Failing that I will list the clothes separately, they are just so gorgeous. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
