Less the 'never mind'. Get your swizzle stick out and give it a quick stir. Some things work better agitated.

Is that true? I don't think I'm brave enough for that :o

Overspent on the food shop last night. I had £27 left in the food account and it came to £38 which actually isn't that bad considering that included a waterproof cycling jacket (I had to throw my kagoule out last week as it got splattered with dog poo - yuck). Had to get a few more bits this morning which came to just less than £10.

Also this afternoon I've got to get dd her Brownie uniform. My friend has gor a couple of bits I can buy off her for £10 and I hope they fit because I've just looked on the Brownie website and the same 2 items will cost nearly £28  I still need to get the leggings, sash and T-shirt and as we are popping into town later for the Xmas lights switch-on we can have a look in one of the suppliers there.

None of the above spending will affect my DFD - it will just mean I will have less spends for next month but at least the wiggle room will be there.

Chilli for dinner tonight which we will probably need after standing around in the cold....

What's the worst that could happen? You end up with an outcome that's identical to the one you think you have right now...

Very true. I'll have to have a think on that one. Just don't want to make a fool of myself..

Picked up the brownie bits from my friend and bought thevrest in town - £32.15  I got the bigger sizes so they'll last a bit longer. I also treated myself to a faux leather biker style jacket that was 20% off in wall1s. I was going to get one before xmas anyway so I've just spent the money early. Love it on me though - it takes me back to when I was 17 and buying my first leather jacket in Carnaby St :)

We hung around in town waiting for the mayor to switch the xmas lights on - bad idea as it meant we traipsed round more shops. I bought some bits in Sooperdrug which we did need but I was very good in Debenham$ - I tried on some skinny jeans that dd said looked 'amazing' (the cycling must be helping) but as I didn't love them enough I didn't get them. They were 20% off too.

Back home now and I've got a chilli on the go. I might get my PJs on soon :o I'll probably watch a film when dd is in bed. I recorded Erin Brockovich during the week. I do like cosy nights in :)

Congratulations on being debt free. So long since I was debt free I can't imagine what it will feel like! Sad, Ay!

Not quite there yet but next Friday will be a gooood day :). I think I've been in debt for the last 20 years so it will definitely feel weird.

Keep chipping away at it and you'll get there :)

Feel the fear and do it anyway.

I will do once my DFD gets here :) I imagine it's just going to be a lot of budgetting and hoping I don't fall down the slippery slope again.....

Been for a lovely bike ride today with my friend. My dd didn't want to go so she stayed with my mum and dad. We managed 13.2 miles. Very pleased with that and we found a new route to go. Took us about 1 hour 40 minutes. I've just had a lovely bath and a spag is heating up on the hob. We'll just have crumpets and muffins for our tea (much to dd's disgust - she wants a roast :rotfl:- I've said we'll go to the carvery after roller skating next week).

Right - off to stir the spag, sort the huge ironing pile and write down all yesterday's spends
