That's an awful way for a teacher to behave, the one and only time I put a note in for DS's teacher was maths too and I knew how I would do it but didn't understand the way he was being taught (cos he didn't either and couldn't explain it
) I explained that and got a lovely note home laying it out for me - I think she appreciated I was trying to do it her way and not confuse him. I would think that was a more normal response!
I'm delurking to say I'm curious about the ebay item too...Mortgage OP 2025 £7700/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

It all went well at school and like you Skint Spice I got a nice note back and I think she appreciated that we were trying to sort it out together. DD even got 2 house points for the work [STRIKE]I [/STRIKE] we did. She has gone to bed tonight saying 'it's so nice not to have anything to worry about'. Bless.
The ebay item eventually went for nearly £11 but the buyer hasn't paid up yet and I don't think he will judging by some of his feedback. I've also had some quite explicit emails from him (you'll understand why when I tell you what I've sold - I'm not naive, I expected some responses like this from the market i was targetting) but if he doesn't pay up in the next day or so I'm going to offer it to the second highest bidder - yep there was even a bidding war on this item.....
All will be revealed once I've had payment for it. You'll be really disappointed when you find out what it is :rotfl:
I was all happy earlier as I sat down working out this month's money in advance of tomorrow's payday and I've just realised I haven't taken any holiday money into account. I really need to put some by this month because I wasn't able to last month. Off to do the bank account shuffle again. Sigh. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

Meant to add that I lost 3lb last week despite not going for any runs and scoffing chocolate most nights
. I've cut down the sugar in my tea from 2 tsp to 1tsp (shocking) so that must be it.
I will be so relieved when I've finished all this chocolate though

Payday today so all accounts have been topped up - Car, grocery, holiday and emergency and there is still some left over for little old me.
Been for a run today. It wasn't dry but it felt better to get out - I think this was what made me feel down in the dumps the last few days. It was cold but not as cold as the shower afterwards - no hot water at work
Pole class tonight so hope that goes well.
Almost forgot - PAD of £1.93 to Barclaycard

Been for another run today and was lucky and dodged the showers although it was very windy. I feel much better in myself and may even go for another one tomorrow

I finally got payment for my unorthodox fleabay item and I can report back that the item was a pair of dirty scuzzy old trainers. Yes you did read that correctly. I got nearly £15 for them and I only listed them as a joke. To think they were going to go in the bin.....:D
Further proof that you can in fact sell anything on there (although you do have to be prepared for some...*strange* communication from would-be buyers) if you can handle that you might as well go for it.
£2 PAD to barclaycard

Just back from my 3rd run of the week and (in voice of Brian Blessed) I feel epic :T
So am having a thai takeout from the local pub for my lunch
Food shop tonight and budget is set at £35 p/w for this month which I think should be fine. Actually it has to be fine :rotfl:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey
