Please put me down for £10 again.

So far this month I have made £43.20 - discount in hardware shop after complimenting chappie on the shop £1.95, tax rebate £23.75, £17.50 credit from Virgin Mobile after they messed up my account - couldnt dial out for over a week and they gave me 2000 free minutes and 2000 free texts to go with the 1000 of each that I get with my contract together with unlimited internet access.:j

Have also discovered a great website were you list venues and events and they pay50p for each one. Listed 15 but won't list that until it pays out.

Oooh, sounds good. What is this website?? I've tried googling for it, but am not exactly really sure what to search for!?!?

For me today £4.22 from Surveys and Cashback Daily Clicks.

Also 1 Ebay item sold (an odd one that I accidently listed for 7 days instead of 10 last week!), which after fees is an extra £5.92 to add to the total! Probably a few pence extra from the P&P to add tomorrow too.

Transferred some money out of PayPal from sundays eby sales, and had Surveyhead and Crowdology transfers go in today, so that's about £150 off a credit card, but won't count that in this challenge because I'm counting it as I earn it, not when it's paid.

    So
    £10.14 altogether today :j

Cherisong & Roxie W - Thanks so much for your ideas / comments on my "wobble", they've really helped. I love the idea of camping but unfortunately it would be difficult to transport the kit as I don't drive but it made me think that I could try Youth Hostelling & I'll have a look Travel Lodges too.

I was just having a bad day really - we haven't been out of London all year (not that this bothers DS) and I need to see some sea..

Thanks again , I feel much better today & all the more so for knowing there are people out there who understand. Cherisong -Do you think you will get a holiday in the forseeable future? By the way I love your signature quote - I certainly forgot my "main thing" yesterday - hope you don't mind I've "borrowed" from it for my signature to use as a reminder... x

I live in London and have a 3 week holiday starting from next week. My childminder is on holiday, so having to take same time as her. As we have zero money, only DS's childbenefit, I am going to try and make the most of the free stuff, ok, will need to pay for a travelcard to get into central london, but we are going to try and make it an adventure. Going to Science Museum, because it is free, and they have a bit where he can get messy.

He loves Regent's Park - especially feeding the ducks and the big wide open space and the fountain, that blows water at him when it is windy!

So this is going to be our only holiday this year, and unfortunately Bad timing, as his Dad has not worked for last 3 weeks, but now has work for next 3 weeks, so it will be me and little un.

There is a little beach for kiddies at Ruislip Lido, although it is not the same as the big sea :o . Have you tried looking at netmums for ideas on how to take the kiddies on holiday cheaply, using Travellodges, etc.

I love your idea of Youth Hostels and I hope there are some good cheap deals on Travellodges so you can save some money.

Have you got the family railcard that you can travel to the seaside cheaply?

Good luck and I really hope you get a lovely little holiday with the kids.:)

By the way I love all the signatures about spending time with our little ones before they are too big. I get really upset about having to work, even part time in an office, would rather work from home, so I can have that precious time with my little one. Unfortunately financially didn't work for me solely trying to work from home.

Borrow away. I am motivated by quotes so my diary has a fresh one most days. Every now and again I come across one that is really inspiring. This week that one struck a chord. Funnily enough I want to go to London for my holidays and I live by the sea :rotfl: I usually go to the proms but I havent been able to go so far this year due to lack of dog minders. I am hoping to remedy that by the last week so I can have my fix.
Youth hostels are great, I stay at St Pauls in London. Although recently I have been staying at Beit Hall Imperial College during the summer months. Universities rent rooms out during the summer so maybe that is a way to get away cheaply too. Also, if you are in London, have you thought about doing a house swap for the holidays. There are loads of sights for that kind of thing and people are always looking for places in London. Not sure how you would feel about letting strangers stay in your place. MY OH was down there last weekend and he was talking to a couple from Bournemouth who had done just that so that they could go to the proms. They were very impressed.
Who needs to drive to go camping. Get a big back pack and a smallish tent you will still have fun. There are also bunk houses etc around Wales that you could stay in. Oooo see I love holidays so much I get excited helping people to plan them but even more excited if I can help them to do it on a very small budget. When I worked in an office people used to pay me bottles of wine to find them cheap itineraries. Maybe I missed my vocation in life.
Good luck with it all and let me know how you get on.
