    can i just ask. if i buy a pair of shoes that was meant to be £17 and i buy for £4, can i add that to my total as i am saving money?

    I guess it's up to you really. Although we're all doing the challenge as a group, at the end of the day we;ve all got our own individual challenge for ourselves.
    The argument would be I suppose whether you would have bought them at £17, in which case yeah, you've saved £13. That's the way I'd look at it! :) But then, as my OH is always telling me, "You didn't save £13, you spent £4!!
    If you were gonna buy them anyway then I'd definately count it.

    And welldone on a great bargain!! :j

    I've another £4.20 to add from this evenings Ebay sale.
    Have a big box looming in the corner of things I need to list. It just seems to take forever as DS always seems to decide he wants to be really clingy and attention seeking as soon as I'm trying to get anything done! Bless him :)

    Am also trying to decide where is best to sell some of my University text books. Lots of them never really got used as I was only there for a few months before I changed my mind about the course and left. But lots of them are so big and heavy so will cost £9/£10 to post, so people wouldn't pay all that much more for them, so I wouldn't make much after posting.
    I don't know whether people are likely to look in the Friday Ad for things like that.
    What other options spring to mind for selling them without having to post them??

    I've another 50p to add from a YouGov survey I've just done on OHs account, and also just remembered I've got £10 worth of points from Shop and Scan for my first weeks shopping transmition! So between me and OH (which is basically just me again really but can sign up for 2 accounts with most sites using his name and his mums address! :D ), over the last couple of days have sent off for £40 vouchers, which always come really quick!

    Right-e-o! I have been umming and ahhing for couple days and, if I am not too late, I would like to join this challenge as well.

    I have been listing my achievements in my (private) blog because I have been too chicken to post them here.

    Can my money box coins be included? I only bother with them when I have enough for the respective money bag and then they get banked.

    I am aiming for a tenner a day but I am not sure that I will hit the £310 target but any achievement will be a start.

    So far I have (copy and pasted from my blog):

    August 1st. Once in a blue moon lottery ticket £10.00 TOTAL: £10.00
    August 3rd ASDA multibuy savings £1.71 TOTAL: £11.71
    August 3rd £30.00 saving on a * Le Cresuet casserole dish in TK Maximus TOTAL: £41.71
    August 3rd Lightspeed survey moolah finally deposited in da bank £5.00 TOTAL: £46.71
    August 4th Holiday pay from second job (I do supply teaching one day a week) £61.71 TOTAL: £ 108.42

    ~~~~~
    * I have been lusting over this range since I bought my house three years ago but I have been unable to justify their prices so when I saw one for £15.00 I had to buy it. And, I didn't have a casserole dish big enough in my kitchen cupboard.
    £5.50 doubled is £11 so I've made another 50p for you there!
    :)
    You can only double up in £5 denominations, so unfortunately the 50p couldn't be doubled. Which is a shame as I've got £9 worth of older vouchers that expire soon so am going to Double up and use them in store rather than on Rewards, but can only double up £5 worth not the other £4.
    Unless I use £1 of the ones I'm saving for Rewards I guess.
    Sorry, I didn't realise that!
    This sounds fun so I'll enter myself - here's what I can remember from this month so far:
    Aug 3rd - Quidco cashback income of £53 for getting car insurance for my partner with Hastings Direct - this was actually a cheaper quote than her existing provider by around £40 as well so doubly nice!
    Aug 4th - Saved £1.20 by filling up with diesel at Morrisons instead of BP across the road. My trip computer said I had enough fuel to go 1 mile so normally I'd have gone to the closest petrol station (BP @ £1.17p a litre) but my iPhone app, PetrolPricesPro told me Morrisons was 2p a litre cheaper and at 2 miles away I thought I'd risk it - I made it! Also used my "Morrisons Miles" petrol card to get points towards their £5 voucher but wont count that yet as I've not got enough points to redeem.
    So, total for me to date is £54.20 for August, I'll go for £10 a day as I'm new to it.
