:eek:I'm having a serious wobble about not having a holiday this year - on the verge of spending money I haven't got... help

If you really want a holiday, try thinking a bit differently to try to get one. Hypno just had a great holiday using Mr T vouchers and booking travelodges etc. Perhaps you can still have a short break but be money neutral about it.
Good luck. I know how it feels, havent had a serious holiday (ie more than a long weekend) for 6 years and I am really tempted to just book something myself.

    HI guys :)

I've not made any money today but have had a little clear out of the kids rooms (again :) ) and baged up loads of stuff for a carboot. We're going to the caravan not this weekend but next weekend and are planning on doing at least 3 carboots while we're there. So hopefully will make a bit of dosh there. When we get back from the carvavan we've got 3 days at work then off on "big holiday" :D

21 sleeps till our holiday woop woop! (yes I'm very greedy this year but haven't had a good year with one thing and another, 3 grandparents getting cancer within 6 monthd between me and DH, the first one of those we lost just before Christmas, also got burgled 4 months ago which has really undettled us, even now still, so just needed a break together with the kids big time)- it's not a normal thing for us to go on such an expensive holiday, and unfortunately it's all gone on credit :(

Anyway, no updates, just a load of waffle :D

Oh, but we have swapped £18.70 Tesco vouchers and got £60 Prezzo voucher and £30 vouchers for a pub, both to use while we're down at the caravan :D

    xx

Have also discovered a great website were you list venues and events and they pay50p for each one. Listed 15 but won't list that until it pays out.

Still waiting for Mr T's vouchers. Don't shop there very often as I'm a Mr A's girl but I have their credit card so I get some points from that.

Have you got a link for the website? Sounds a good way of making a few pennies............

Have you thought about camping? If you have a son I'm sure he would ,ove it. I have three boys and they did. I'm used to luxury holidays and I always thought I would hate camping but we went for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I actually loved it. There was not tv, no computer, no housework - literally nothing to do if if I wanted to. It was sooo relaxing. I took a book. We walked, we talked, we played games with the kids. We took a disposable BBQ. It was a big adventure fir them and the best bit is that it cost us £20 for the night on a lovely campsite in the county side with big playground areas and woodland walks - even a jacuzzi (:.

We bought all our camping bits from tesco in the half price sale and spent £130 on all the kit. I know it's an initial outlay but it's a cheap break after that.
