Hello
I still have the cold and am starting to wonder if it will ever end!
NSD yesterday (sig updated) as I didn't go out. Spent the day knitting and tidying my desk as my new OU books should get here next week. Plan to do more of the same today but will have to go out to buy cold remedy. Have checked mysupermarket for the cheapest option and am going to Mr A. If I'm feeling energetic, I shall check Superdrug as I walk past and see if they have the one I want even cheaper!
Made chilli in the SC yesterday so will be portioning it out and putting in the freezer today. And that's all my cooking from the last menu-plan/shopping session done

HI guys,
Good morning to you all.
Just a quick visit to let you all know today is going to be another NSD :j The weather is miserable and I have to go to work later!
I am making some Mexican Chicken & Cheese Tortillas later, I will let you all know if it tastes as good as it looks lolol.
And here comes the weekend.. again  lol I hope the weather improves so we can do some `free` activities.
Have a great day everyone.

I was BAD yesterday. I had to get things for the party bags for DD's last day at creche, and had left it late due to DH's accident, so went into the Mr T beside the hospital after I got to see him. Which meant I picked up 4 packs of whoopsied mushrooms (mushroom soup for lunch tomorrow - perfectly fine mushrooms at 75% off!) and a few other bits to get us through. And then we stopped into SQ on the way home, as we needed things for dinner (dopey brain yesterday slightly) - so I added €[STRIKE]46 [/STRIKE] €66 (sorry, dopey brain this morn) in total onto the spends (I know some of that was party bag stuff which technically should be in a different budget, but I didn't keep the receipt so can't split it out).
On the positive side, the girl in SQ had to make change from a different till, and got distracted so gave me back €10 too much in change (I did LOOK at her, but she was sure so, I took it).
I have a voucher for €10 off a spend of €30 or more in that Mr T this weekend (reopened), so I will pop in on the way home and get what we need for the week there (I hate Mr T, but we don't need much and I can get enough stores things to make it worthwhile).
Must go think about the mealplan for the week, and try to do it all as "1 fork" dinners - I'll worry about some sort of sharpened edge fork for NEXT week.GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

Oh, and DH DID get released yesterday after getting the pins in. He decided to go to work this morning (no rolling of eyes or giving out worked) but I will ring his boss at lunchtime to send him home at that stage.GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

I spent again yesterday. £10 in market on f & v plus cobs, £8 in Farm Foods on milk, crisps, frozen leeks, chocolate bars and ice creams, £8 in Co op (today) on potatoes, whoopsied sausages, porridge, 2 cadbury desserts and 2 Sun newspapers (for the Tesco vouchers) and £20 in Sainsburys on ham, baby bels, gluten free food, baked beans, bin liners and Basics biscuits. End result - way over target as usual.
I have just been looking at Weezl's site and am going to try some of the recipes on there. I think one of my problems is I actually spend too much time on here, cos I find it so relaxing and not enough time actually making things that I would otherwise end up buying such as biscuits etc. (Mind you, this past week, I haven't felt like doing much cos I have a sore hip.) So me thinks I need to start doing more plus trying the vegetarian option a couple of night a week for cheaper meals as we probably eat way too much meat anyway.
Winged One- glad your DH is recovering. He sounds a bit like my OH - 3 days off in 22 years of working at his company and that was recovering from a vasectomy!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -

hi all,
well the meal went well yesterday and guess what i didn't end up spending a penny. Looked in my freezer and found a bag of spinach:D. The lasagne sheets died so i made pancakes and rolled them up instead buying more pasta. So i'm very pleased with myself.
So we had crab cakes, spiced pots with fresh bread (all HM), then focaccia bread (made form the same dough as the fresh bread) with spinach and mascarpone cannelloni, then ice cream and chocolate cake. So i'm very very happy with myself.
For tea were having sausage casserole with mash and veg. Should be all good as i have everything me.
Its freezing, again, and very windy so think its going to be an indoor play day for the boys and sorting out some cakes for them to make.0
