    Hello,

I am new and have been reading the Grocery Challenge threads for ages and have now decided that it's about time i joined up! :j My OH and I moved into our first apartment together mid June (first time out of parental homes!) and really need to make sure that we have enough dosh for all the bills, etc.

Please could I be put down for £250 for the month (i will start realistically, then hopefully get it lower each month!) and 15 NSDs. This is for two adults and includes all that can be bought in a supermarket - food, drink, laundry and cleaning products but not take-aways.

My month started on Sat 31/07 with my first big shop in Mr A**a for £59 which stocked up the fridge and freezer pretty well. Plus £2 in Poundland for crisps!

Today is my second NSD! Woo-hoo!!
    Good luck to all
    rablovesroo

Total spend for month = 61/250
    Total NSDs = 2/15

Good afternoon all, bread in the bread machine and I will get something out the freezer for dinner in a mo- perhaps some duchy sausages which I got yellow stickered in Waitrose. They are delicious but at £3 normal price they are pretty expensive. I have got into thinking of my freezer as a supermarket so do what I normally do on my big shop day. I clean out the fridge, then get out all the foods for this week so it can defrost and then fill up the fridge like that. It makes me feel like I'm shopping as I'm perusing my freezers but I'm not spending any money IYSWIM
Still waiting for the plumber but later this evening I have to pick up some bricks to site my greenhouse, then think about my lunch for this week at work, and some cake to put in the cake tin.
I have just filled my trolley in Waitrose and going to get it delivered next week. I got £10 off because of a voucher code as they have just started delivering here and it saves me the taxi fair from the shop. That plus their free delivery means I am a happy bunny.
Have a good day all :)

    Morning all!

Was just sat here working out what else needs to be done today and waiting for Mr. A delivery ...... checked over the email from them to see if I'd ordered milk and realize they're not coming until tomorrow :rotfl:

Ahh, the joys of getting old and being clueless :D

So, short of a dire emergency today will be a NSD!

    Hi Kadeeae,

Spent £23.17 on dairy, bread, veg, Quorn and tofu. Just need to restock on sugar and that should be me for the week. Off to update signature.
  • Feeling really proud of myself as I it's a NSP day-despite having gone to Mr T's for some bits for my Mum! I looked at the reduced section but wrong time of day, just 25% of really expensive ready made meals Eg now £4.50, was £6 for a finest pasta dish which I could have knocked up for a lot less!

I am christening my new slow cooker (bought with a gift voucher from Argos) with a soup, made from bacon, lentil, barley onions and carrots. The whole house smells fab.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before
