I seem to be spending money like it's water at the moment. So far this month (only 2 days in) I have spent £12.79 at Somerf**ld (they're were lots of biscuits and washing powder reduced to clear with long shelf lives and just couldn't resist) and £16.20 in MrT. I have an online shop booked with MrS this week as well, so at this rate I'm going to have spent all my budget in the first two weeksMortgage-free wannabe 2025 £571/30000

Really top tip I forgot to say was place them close together and fill your baking tray as then they can't spread out but can only push up IYSWIM?
Ha! Thanks for that, an ounce of prevention.....
Just wanted to sayto all the newbies . . . seem to be loads! Am about to head to Mr. A's site to do an online shop, wish me luck!

Well I went diving this morning-into the freezer of course but couldnt find all I needed. Not sure where the sprouts or the yorkshires are! Somewhere in there I believe. I found all I really needed though and did thaw out the chicken overnight. Took out a lot of frozen apple from last years garden apples but somehow its still FULL! Must make room for garden produce from this year so i must not buy "stuff"-bargains or not! I made up some jellies in teacups last night for desert-these make good single sized portions and take up less room in the fridge than dishes! Made some french bread in the BM yesterday but it stuck terribly and I had to tear it out. The proggrame overcooked it is the problem so it stuck. Still eating it though-it tastes just the same in torn chunks!
Ive got to adapt to buying less also as my "kids" habits have changed. Eldest dd often buys her own food(she is very fussy)Youngest dd snacks a lot and eats out and ds also eats out a lot so Ive got to get out of the habit of buying for 5 adults when they are often feeding themselves elsewhere.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
Afternoon all
helloooo to the newbies
Highland fling -had to chuckle at your freezer shinanigins - Hubby asked me the other day "how many time are you going to *re-jig* the freezer -before accepting its full?" :rotfl:..... Don't know what he means....
Well my first spend of this month (we start on the 25th) came to €32 -Im spending a little more since being on SW -BUT the flip side of that is that Im now getting into clothes I haven't worn for 2 years ...so "technically" I will be saving money there. Another 4.5lb off for me this week -taking me to 3st 13.5lb in 15 weeks :jand still *mumble mumble* left to shift :shhh:
Dinner tonight is roast chicken with steamed potatoes n veggies -I got the chicken "whoopsed" to €2 yesterday so that was a decent result.... not to mention the 7 packs of Tesco finest dry cure bacon I got for 53c a pack :T....
right thats me for now-Have a great evening everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hello everyone!
Spent £83.36 so far. How did that happen?
We visited the new L**L that had opened near us before we went on holiday and were pleasantly surprised at the choice available.
Next went to Morrisons as we had a £5 voucher off a £40 shop. Bought biscuits for DH to take to work as a back from holiday treat plus the usual offering for DH to take to model train club (sigh) on Wednesday. Some good offers - stocked up on Cole***s BBQ mix, Ragu sauce(for emergencies)Hei*z baked beans.
Need to sort some cheap meals now!
Oh well, off to update sig.
Take care.

Hi, I am going to aim for £150 for August, I overspent by £96 in July, so I want to recoup some money (all of it would be great, but maybe a bit optimistic). I've already been to Sainsbugs and spent £61.66 (£20 of this was on cat food), I have menu planned and will be using up absolutely everything in the freezer. I am determined to be sooo good this month. I will, I will I will...
