Please help -dh's laptop cannot connect to wireless internet even though mine can

once found uncheck the box to let that utility manage the wireless network.
Then go back to using the windows wireless configuration via the blue computer screen as per normal0 -

that wont be it can you see the following icon in the system tray in the bottom right hand corner where the time is?
If not goto Start>Programs and look for either of the following
Intel Pro Wireless
Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility

open the Intel Proset Utility and uncheck the box that let's that utility manage the wireless network and then connect as you normally do via " little green wireless icon at the bottom of the screen" as you put it:T0

When you goto Start>Programs>Intel Proset
There should be another expansion >Intel proset wireless utility
Open intel proset wireless utility0 -

is there and advanced tab ?
Better still can you see this icon in the bottom right sys tray?0 -
no expansion to utility but there is an advanced tab“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”
