I can't imagine for one minute that the Ford dealer is going to use the "cheapest crap" they can get, the resulting lawsuit would not do them (or their accountant) any favours at all.

The V6 Duratec lump takes 5½ litres of oil when doing an oil & filter change, and it's 5w-30 Semi Synthetic you want for that car (or fully synthetic if you want to spend the extra).

Note that using the wrong grade oil will have an impact, so make sure whoever is doing the oil change uses the correct grade.

get down to your local tesco as they currently have Magantec 5/30w fully synthetic for £11 for 4 litres!

No I did not report them to Trading Standards.

The reason I did not is I have contacted the local Council before on things like this and they do nothing, and I know they do nothing as no one ever gets back to me when leaving details.

I have booked the car in to them for a oil and filter change and will be watching like a hawk
If I am given any rubbish this time I will post here
