After a bit dig around, it looks like you need 5W30 semi-synth.

    Thanks :)

Would you recommend I get the oil and filter and get my local garage do the change or Ford at £30 all in?

It's meant to be £45 for my car, but for some reason every time I have booked it in they always mark it down on paper as a 2.5 not a V6 so the price they give on the phone is the price I pay, £30 :D

If they are willing to do an oil/filter change for £30, I personally would go for it, not worth getting my hands dirty for that much!

Okay, yes they are willing to, just hate the little yobs in the RapidFit centre saying 'your wheel bearing needs replacing' took it to my local garage and they said there is not even a tiny amount of play!

As I said, for £30 you cant be robbed, wish I could get an oil change for that!

    Okay, will book it in.
It wasn't just not liking Ford main dealers, it was the fact I wanted to put some trade to my local family garage, as they have helped me out of a lot of trouble on my car and been honest :)

    Thanks again mate

Yeah, they are seprate but right next door to each other!

Went in for an oil and filter change a few months back, I was watching as heard so many horror stories about them.

Young lad comes out with a sheet of paper, off the top of my head it said I needed the following:

New indicator bulb (flashing partly white)

New wheel bearing - heavy play

Oil leak on engine - although car has NEVER used any oil and my local garage had a look and said there isn't a drop of oil any where!

New rear tyre as near limit - even though was brand new 3 weeks before!

Total cost to carry out work was in £500 mark!!

I soon said, no it's okay, I doubt I have the car that long anyway.

Passed its MOT will no failures last month, or advisories, doesn't use any oil.

Total cost for me to fix one bulb £3! :rotfl:

I hate them thinking though they can make money and just worried they might CAUSE damage somehow to force me to have something done, hence why I watch outside at them doing it

Opie Oils- someone already suggested them. I use Halfords, purely because of my trader's card....

As for the above, there's a fantastic prank phone call video from an American radio station. Dad was sick of daughter having accidents, so when car was in for servicing, convinced the station to call her and wind her up....
There was a couple of brilliant momnets- like telling her she needed new 'headlamp lubricant' and that she had no transmission in her car.....
    Can't find link now!
