Scott - Don't take this the wrong way but your SOA is rather empty. I know you have said that you live at home, but there is nothing in there for going out or car tax. Have you thought of keeping a spending diary to see exactly what you do spend over the month?

well, i often get a little bit more wage on my eveing job depending on what hours they give me, that accounts for my little extra bits and bobs. as for the tax, my car had 11 months tax on when i bought it and he said he'll renew my tax untill im debt free (which should be just once)

So if you dont mind me asking, how have you managed to get into so much debt if you only spend on bits and bobs?

Wow, you are in a bit of debt! (I can't talk, 4k for me but it's slowly dropping as I'm getting better with money) I know you don't pay board, but could you give some to your parents and ask them to put it away for you, so you could start building either a rental or purchase deposit, or so you can go on holiday with it as a treat next summer? I've got 3 savings accounts, two connected with my bank, one not, and the not one I'll be using to save any extra money I make, which would be nice.

Also gonna subscribe, so I will be watching you lol

i dont feel right giving myself any treats at all to be honest untill i am totally debt free. i kind of feel "dirty" spending on a luxory when i still owe money...

may i ask what a purchase deposit is?

Fair play! you could always sell stuff on ebay and use that for spending money for your treats instead? Good luck!

    Hi Scott
Spotted your thread on the main forum and thought I'd come and say hi.

Can't give you much advice but I'd agree with what everyone said on your thread, join in the daily chat and with any other threads you like the look of on the forum. You'll get to know people and they, like me, will click on the link to your diary and come and say hi. You won't be on your own for long that way. Also, there are a lot of other people around your age with diaries, subscribe to them and post on their diaries, they'll soon be back to have a look and a chat.

Good luck with your debt free journey and well done for starting young - you'll get there.
