Me too, I'm still reading.:)

What a lovely lot of bargains you've got...I just love Primark.

Your sock thing has given me an idea for the holidays too. I'm off for 2 weeks from next week and the weather reports have been BAD. I need things like that to keep us busy while we're indoors seeing as our DVD player has just given up the ghost

Ah I haven't seen the weather - urghh, what a shame:( Whereabouts are you? We're in the west, not far from Bristol. I shall attempt to see if I can put a photo of our sock money and owls...they're very cute;) I didn't think my dds would be quite so enamoured with the sock creatures, but they loved them....and if it gets my 13yr old keen and off her laptop then it's got to be good:rotfl:

This is good - I sold one of my mobiles on ebay the other day, buy it now price. The buyer (with feedback of zero:mad:) then emailed to ask if he could pay cash and bring it to my house and he was also interested in the other phone I'm selling - could I ring him to discuss??!! I replied saying sorry no, I only accept Paypal and will post Special delivery so I have proof of sending and he has to sign to prove receipt.
Ok, he replied saying he doesn't use Paypal as they're hard to deal with (what??), he promises he's not a scammer, he'll sign a receipt to say he's received the phone...I can even go to his house if I want?!
I reply again....saying no, Paypal only to protect myself - said I state that clearly in my listings and he should have contacted me forst if he couldn't pay this way.

He replied - saying.....'!!!!!!' to me....bl00dy cheek of him:eek::eek:
So annoying, he was obviously going to try and scam me - no doubt claim non delivery, I wouldn't have proof of postage so would have to refund. Grrrrr, now I have to report to ebay to get my fees back...and have relisted.

Quite funny though, the last reply from him, made us giggle:rotfl: Delightful man:mad:

What an @rsehole. No way have him go to your house or you to his. Glad you stuck by your guns. Are you able to give him a bad rating or something (I don't know much about ebay) I suppose he could always re-register under another name and do the same thing. Good for you for sticking to your guns. I hope the next purchaser doesn't give you any more aggro.

Out of interest, when you sell these old mobiles do you still have the boxes or are they just the phones themselves. I have got a couple of old ones that I might as well try to get some money from....

I do have the boxes - I'm sad cos I keep them in case of selling:rotfl: But - I have sold mobiles before with no boxes, just with the charger and maybe the USB lead - they still sell. You can even sell broken phones there, I guess people use them for parts or can repair them.

And sadly I can't leave that idiot negative feedback - sellers can't, only a buyer can leave a negative - stupid rule that;) But you're right - I think he'll just regsiter again, he had zero feedback anyway so he probably is a regular at doing it - just feel sorry for some people if they do fall for it.

Thanks for that. I'm sure I've got a couple of mobiles knocking about (and even a quite high end phone that I managed to run over!)

Goooood morning if anyone reading:D

I'm still here, too, milly. Welll done for standing up to that ***** of a man. You were sooo sensible not to meet him, have him near your house etc etc Hopefully phone will sell soon to someone genuine.

Hope brace fitting isn't too painful (for you or DD tomorrow) and good luck with your essay. Your light is off so I hope you are doing background reading right now:D

Hooray - the mobile has sold...this time to a lady who paid by Paypal immediately:beer:
So, going to nip out and send it now, so she'll get it tomorrow. Also I have a Pinecone survey just been sent so will do that, hopefully for £3.
DD1's lounging about, dd2 gone to the park with a friend, it's lovely and sunny here. I was on my bed reading a Uni book...but dropped off, it was that interesting:rotfl:

Glad you sold your phone Milly! What a cheek of that 1st guy. I had a right hassle trying to sell my old car on ebay. Put it up for something ridiculously low saying it would be good for a scrap dealer for parts. People kept bidding on it until it was some ridiculous price/really high and then a guy came round with cash, moaning that it didn't have an MOT/tax etc and that it didn't bl00dy run! Exactly why I'm getting rid of it and wanting to sell it to a scrappy!!

Also got my sun glasses on just now at £20 BIN ono. Someone bid £15 and then retracted it saying 'put in wrong amount'. Grrr. Obviously had no plans to buy it in the first place and was just sussing out what my min amount was. Or who knows what they were up to...

I've only ever sold my phones on Amazon and the last time I sent them to Pigsback - got much more in amazon vouchers than the phone was worth.

Glad the presentations went well btw. :T

La E - some ebay buyers really are annoying....though luckily they seem to be in the minority and most people I've dealt with on there have been fine;)

As for the presentations - I wa sooooo relieved to get them done, I'd been absolutely dreading them. When I first looked into doing the course I nearly didn't apply because of the presentations:o That's how terrifying I find them!! So, quite pleased with myself that I did them...even though I think I kind of cheated as I only did them to my tutors, not the other 12 people in my class:D
