Urgh, poor dd1 and her teeth:( And really not nice for me to sit and watch it being done...took longer than I thought, all that pulling and wiggling of the teeth, yuk:eek: She's not feeling like going out at the mo, so going to see a later showing of Eclipse at 5.50. At least the dribbling's stopped;)
Had a little parcel from the postie arrive today - nail varnish and lipgloss won in the Glamour comp. Don't really need any so will see what they go for on ebay or stick them in the pressie drawer.
Might go and read some more of my book before the cinema...will go out in about half an hour..I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Eclipse was fab:D Girls all loved it - took dd1's mind off her dribbly, numb mouth and felt ok once we'd got out!
Used 2 Orange 2for1 codes so cost £7 for me and £5 for one child ticket - bargain for the 4 of us;) Was going to go to the chippy on the way home but as our silly shop shuts at 8 and the film ended after 8 we went to Mcdonalds instead...there went £17, but it was a lovely treat:) Just got to pay for bus to town tomorrow (park+ride), swimming for 3, about £6 and a cuppa whle I watch. Got 2 pairs of trousers I bought the girls in New Look - one too small, the other's seams split after dd1 had worn them once:eek: So that'll be £16 refund - shame, nice sale trousers, but no good if they split!
Tax credits day tomorrow - woohoo. Hoping not to spend much at all until next Thursdays payment. Girls with their dad from Fri night until Tues pm, so I shouldn't need to buy much.
Off to read The Secret in bed now - no need to get up early tomorrow, bliss:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Hi DNMS - nice to see you here:j
I've been a bit lazy and not posting on the daily thread - think it's cos I'm not getting up until 9ish, so I just come and read but don't add my list - I must try harder:rotfl: Promise I'll come and post soon - I do read every day, really:D
Nope, no Crohn's - tis great;) Just tired at times and tummy a little wobbly occasionally, but that's to be expected.
I'm glad to read that you and your DD are making progress...must be so hard for you, can't imagine how it must feel. How old is she again, I'm thinking 16ish? You sound like a fab mum:)
Anyway...thanks for posting, 'see' you again soon (on the small dfw board tomorrow I promise!)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Good morning if you're reading:)
Today will be a lovely day at home - my niece is being picked up by bro in law at 1.30, so will have a good tidy up once she's gone - the girls' room is a disgrace.
DD1 has been up since 9...again...most unlike her - she's still very quiet after the teeth coming out. It's not hurting her, just feels odd and she won't eat over the gaps, I'm sure she could but she wont.
I've just arranged for DD2's make up bag to be sent to us - she left it at the swimming pool in Torquay on Monday. So had to pay £1.50 for that;)
I sold a dvd of DD1's on ebay and posted that yesterday, also posted a book and card game to my lovely pal in Cornwall. Spent £7 on the 3 girls having a swim yesterday, £1.20 on a coffee for me, then £5 in Greggs on pasties for us all - so not too expensive a day yesterday. This weekend will be cheap - am off to my sister's tomorrow night as girls are away, then home Sunday lunchtime.
I have a pile of decent school uniform bits that I must photograph and list on ebay asap. As dd2's going to secondary and the secondary uniform's changed too, I have a few nice skirts/trousers that can't be used.
I think I'll get my face on now and do the photos - can list on ebay later.
Onwards.....:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Piles of stuff put up the attic, girls room looking tidier, clean washing put away and one load done.
Just about to have lunch - rolls all round with hm coleslaw for me, yum;)
Niece is going in an hour then will finish tidying and maybe, just maybe, will look at my uni work:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Lovely feeling isn't it? Enjoy your day

Polesalot - it's a lovely feeling seeing the hallway clear and my bedroom actually looking inviting;) Usually it's full of clean washing and piles of clothes I have no roomin the wardrobe for!!
Had a nice afternoon with dd1 (she's still quiet, not speaking!) - we made a sock monkey that I bought her the kit for a few weeks ago. Took longer than I thought, but kept her busy, sewing and looks very cute - she's rather pleased I think! DD2 was at the park, she'shome and I have a quick chicken stir fry cooking for them, I'm not very hungry...been nibbling at cheddars and fudge this afternoon...ooops:o
Still, apart from the £1.50 on postage for dd2's make up bag being returned, I haven't spent a thing - yay:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Sounds like you've had a nice day. I wish my DD would eat stir fry, she gets it into her head that she doesn't like something and that's it end of story she won't touch it. Actually for the last week she's been really bad and hardly eating anything but tonight I did chicken kievs (shop bought
) and home made wedges and she ate nearly all of it and said 'You can do this again Mum',
finally a breakthrough even if it isn't the healthiest meal. Another thing I have told her is that she'll never move on to have just a booster seat in the car (at the mo she has still got the back attached to it)unless she eats all her dinners up because otherwise she won't be big enough. It has made her think, I think...
I was having a NSD too until I did the food shop but it only came to £38 and there was stacks of stuff there (thank you Aldi). It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

Ah my 2 aren't the most adventurous eaters - the stir fry is pretty basic - chicken, onion and carrots with chow mein sauce and noodles, but they love it:D
Our meal plans really don't change from week to week, I get bored with it, but can't find much that all 3 of us will eat! Every 2 weeks we have curry, spag bol or chilli, meatballs, jacket pots and chicken, hm pizza, chicken wraps/pittas, roast, sausgaes, egg and beans, pasta bake. Must look for new recipes;)
(Very cute about the booster seat - my 2 are out of them now, wish they'd stay little:o)I really need to sort out a new signature!0
