Good morning:D
It's lovely and sunny again here - what a great start to the hols this week's been so far. Hopefully the weather will hold up for the weekend - when we're away:T
Girls still asleep,I'm just enjoying a cuppa and some toast before I go and have a shower, I'm going to nip to Argos and pick up the shelf unit for my bedroom - looking forward to having it up in my room and making the room look a lot more inviting:p
We're going to town later - they have 100 lion models put up all over the place so dd2 wants to get one of the maps and go looking for them - she can take her camera too. Will buy them a Greggs for lunch - splash out:rotfl:
Few other things to do:- check banking - tax credits in today so some moved to 'spending account' and some to 'grocery account'
- get some washing on and on the line
- collect my shelf unti and put up later
- clear uni books off dining table and get in my room!
- take new look returns back
- get bedroom tidy and organised
- hm pizza and wedges for dinner
- relax with soaps and some games tonight - last night was Rummikub in the end:)
- put jumble out to be collected in the morning
I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well done on new diary milly, you sound really positive.
How long are the lions in Bath? I've seen something similar (I think) in Florence where they had loads of cows. They were fibreglass and all had been decorated differently, often to a theme that linked with the sponsors. Are the lions life-size and decorated?
Just one tiny comment about your new shelf unit. 'Experts' (in stress etc) say that you should try to keep your bedroom as a sort of sanctuary to relax in and not allow work to intrude. You need to be able to separate work from life IYSWIM. You've done so well to get through this year and come out of it healthier (and wealthier). I'm really keen for you to do well in your degree course but you mustn't let your health suffer. Perhaps the books could just be stored there or do you have any room on a landing/hallway. I think the bedroom should ideally be chicklit/mags.
Sorry if I'm coming over a bit preachy, certainly not intended. Have a lovely weekend. Hope weather holds up for you.0 -

Hi Maman,
Yes the lions are all decorated - there are 100 I think and there all summer - until the start of Sept. They have them all on display in the park, but it's the weekend around my niece's birthday so I expect we'll be in Weston then. We had pigs 2 years ago which was lovely - we saw them all in the park at the end and have lots of photos;)
(Here's a link to the lion website if anyone interested!: http://www.lionsofbath.com/home )
As for my bedroom - I know what you mean that it's meant to be more of a 'sanctuary'. But, the house isn't very big so not really got anywhere else to keep stuff! At the moment all my books are piled on the dining table and ander the PC. Having them on the table makes me feel bad as they are constantly on view and then I feel guilty for not working. At least in my room they'd be stashed out of sight...and my room's so nice and sunny that I might be more likely to hide there and read.
Maybe one day I'll have a house with a study....mind you by then I'll have finished my course:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ooooh I'm worn out after a few hours in town:o I forget how it doesn't take long right now for me to get tired, especially wandering around.
We did have a lovely day out though, well few hours! Bought lunch and sat outside with that. DD2 took photos of the lions we saw (only 10 out of the 100:D), looked in a few shops, had a pot of tea and came home. Spent £15 on lunch, drinks then milkshake and tea in Thorntons - i had to sit down:)
We came home and I lay on sofa, got DD2 to puit a dvd on....but I fell asleep! Time to make dinner now, then relax with tv again - and a game of course;) I ordered a game called Bananagrams for them which came today - recommended by my friend and girls play it at the out-laws house. Nice handy one we can take to Devon.
Haven't put my shelf unit up yet - think I'll get the wedges in the oven and do it then. Am really keen to get my room looking neat and tidy. Usually it's just a dumping ground for clean clothes, books etc. But all clothes are away, my new duvet cover's on and it's looking inviting!!
Ok, off to do dinner:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Sounds like you had a lovely day. The tiredness is a killer and makes you feel so guilty for needing a sleep when your so young. Have you found that your girls have adapted to your illness and learned to accept that you need to rest every now and again? Even though mine were so young when I was diagnosed, they've been brilliant, they just get on with it.
I see your going away for the weekend, have a lovely time! Aren't mum's great!LBM 04/10:j

It is hard feeling so tired yes. I feel daft saying it to people at times, sounds pathetic but it's sheer exhaustion, not just 'a bit tired'!!!
My 2 were 3 and 1 when I was diagnosed, in 2000 so they're used to me! Mind you, I diod go for years with no bad symptoms, it's just flared up in the last 18m. Still, hopefully now the diseased part has been removed I'll feel more 'normal'!:rotfl:
All really looking forward to the weekend, just to get away - no cooking or tidying, bliss!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Thanks for the lion link milly.
Hope you're feeling rested after your day out. I do understand about not having a 'study'. You're so right that when we have the space for these things (like when the girls have left home and gone to university themselves) then you don't need them.
Well done you on playing games with your girls. Have a great time with your mum and step-dad. Sounds like a lovely mini-break. Weather looks promising.0
