Some on here just don't get it.
I posted to obtain advice as where i should go with my complaint as i have never been in the situation before. I am far from a 'drama queen' or a complainer as you would appreciate if you met or knew me.
Some have responded to my enquiry in a civilised and helpfull way and i will be taking their advice, thanks. I will not be persuing this any further which is the reason i came onto the forum to clarify.
I will not be put off using the forum by people such as 'Cyberbob' and his bedsit partner 'dmg24'. 22,584 posts did make me laugh you poor soul.
Bye.
See ya drama queen!
Stick to the Ready Brek in future!

It always makes me laugh when posters (usually) complaining at the amount of comepnsation that they've received, quote their weekly expenditure......it doesn't matter whether you spend £10, £100 or £1,000 - what does matter is the incident itself.
For goodness sake OP, get a life and possibly get something in your life to worry about - it will help put the incident and the amount of compensation into perspective.2014 Target;

Maybe Geri1965 is Katy Freeman off the National Accident Helpline advert!

Fig, why do you keep saying they have only given you £15?! They have given you £50 for the dental treatment too!
I don't think they owe you anymore, so I wouldn't pursue it any further.

The irony of this thread is that geri, the one member sniped at for giving advice that was the first one to show a modicum of support for the OP is, in fact, the first person to post and actually get the law right. All of those posting positively that the OP has had everything that they're entitled to are wrong. The OP's partner is entitled to damages compensating them for their loss in what is a classic Donoghue v Stevenson scenario. This includes the money for any course of treatment needed on the truth in addition to general damages for pain, suffering and loss of amenity. Geri has correctly stated the bracket for a broken or missing front tooth; the bracket for a rear tooth is £700 to £1,100.
Irrespective of what a person's individual viewpoint is about whether or not the OP's partner should claim for further compensation, the simple fact of the matter is that the OP's partner has a strong prima facie case for additional damages. That's the advice they have come for, and now they have it.
It's something of a shame that that advice wasn't forthcoming before the internet mob mentality struck in this thread.Fig wrote:Glad i did'nt log straight off. Write to them and request the compensation that you want, mention in the letter if they do not pay you will be taking them to the small calims court.
I personally feel that you do deserve something for the hassle you have had to go through.
I'd also ignore the numpties on here, they love picking on people.0
