3,272 posts and you are calling me a 'Muppet', how immature. You 'Cyberbob' do not know me and have never met me so why abuse me ? I am not going to be drawn into a conversation with you after this reply as i can imagine you sat in your bedsit.... alone (3,272 posts).
We have never as a family persued compensation in any way in over 40yrs, how some people put others into little boxes amazes me. Who mentioned hundreds of pounds ? not me.
To all those on this site...and i'm sure there are a few who offer good advice keep it up. To the few that have replied to me as Cyberbob and his mates have with no advise and just a dig whilst hiding behind a keypad i have nothing to say to you.
Well said! :T10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -
You've been compensated for the direct effect of their error (paid for dental work). What other financial burden has this caused to you? I think they are fair here. £65 in total is more than they're liable for - that's why the £15 was a "goodwill" gestureSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
I broke a tooth the other week whilst eating something and it never crossed my mind to try and lay blame.
Guess I must be a mug.
If you'd have been a mug you could have sued yourself!
OP, I'm going to be blunt because I think you are a drama queen. Get a life. It was your choice to pursue something so petty for so long, why should you be compensated for it? If your wife still has pain and suffering, she needs to get another dentist.Gone ... or have I?0 -
We mentioned the above to the Dentist who confirmed that my wife's teeth are all extremely healthy including what was left of the broken tooth.
Don't get me wrong i know these things happen. My point is the way Aldi have treated us in there corrospondance and telephone calls. As i have stated above we are not the sort to complain at every available opportunity (this being the first time). I also have a hatred of people that use the compensation culture to better themselves and would never have gone to the lengths of posting on this forum if i did'nt feel strongly as to the way we have been treated.
The money is not the point.....if someone does not make a stand it could be a child next time that is minus a tooth.0 -

Think of the children ... it's always about the children! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously, forget about it and move on. No one was killed, no one was even seriously injured ... and no children were involved!Gone ... or have I?0 -
If they have admitted liability then you are entitled to claim for pain and suffering in addition to dental expenses. Your best bet would be to speak to a solicitor - if you are a member of a trade union or have legal expenses on your household insurance, they will put you in touch with someone who can deal with your case free of charge.
General damages (compensation for pain and suffering) for loss of or serious damage to one front tooth is worth £1,400 - £2,500 as a rough guide.0 -

Compensation queen anyone?Gone ... or have I?0 -
Some on here just don't get it.
I posted to obtain advice as where i should go with my complaint as i have never been in the situation before. I am far from a 'drama queen' or a complainer as you would appreciate if you met or knew me.
Some have responded to my enquiry in a civilised and helpfull way and i will be taking their advice, thanks. I will not be persuing this any further which is the reason i came onto the forum to clarify.
I will not be put off using the forum by people such as 'Cyberbob' and his bedsit partner 'dmg24'. 22,584 posts did make me laugh you poor soul.
