    Thanks Lois & SmlSave! :D

All ok at home, Princess is feeling good and is off to do some shopping this afternoon..She is not used to being stuck at home doing nothing..;)
Played around with my mortgage spreadsheet this morning, and by my rough calculations, my mortgage free date is around June 2019, so we would potentially pay it off 22 years early and saving around £105,000.00 in interest :D:D

I'll race you! But we will move before then fo sure...I saw on your thread about the house move news..We wanted to move last year, but it all fell through due to jobs.. Its a good thing it did, as we found this MFW thread and we are here now.. If we had moved we would have been in serious financial trouble..
You have made the right decision, don't worry about it :p

Pammy - I'm in awe of what you've achieved with so little support. I'm sure you will smash your target.

Froggy- that's an amazing amount of interest you will save. People just don't realise how much they pay back when they take out a mortgage. If the house they wanted to buy was priced at £200,000 but was valued at £100,000 they wouldn't buy it but they effectively pay £200,000 when you consider how much a mortgage ACTUALLY costs, iyswim.

There, I've de-lurked twice in two days - it's getting addicted - I'm meant to be working from home though - oops!!

PS Glad Mrs F feeling good - my sister got lucky on her third round of IVF and now has an 18th month old little boy.

I want to finish my mortgage in 2019 too! Not going to happen though I don't think. Mortgage free at 37 would be rather nice though!

Whoa at the interest you'll save! If thats not motivation I don't know what is.

Glad things are going well at the minute with the IVF....keeping up positive thoughts for you both.
Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!
    Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight

Froggy the way my head is I probably will move as well before then, just not this year :o
It is shocking how much interest people pay when you see it on paper. When you look back at how much capital comes off from the huge payment you pay, its terrible but they get away with it dont they. Supply and demand I suppose. At least its not 15% at the moment.

Hi Froggy, just a short post as I'm on pesky iPhone and I dont find it conducive to lengthy prose! Are you a member of topcashback as having had a quick peek it looks like they are doing c. £5 for online grocery sign up and delivery.

    Good luck!
