Very true GG I like that.

What's meant to be....That's because there's something better for you out there. I'm a great believer in things happening for a reason.

I'm still sorry you didn't get that job though Froggy.
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

Oh Froggy I'm gutted for you :(

You did the best you could though and it sounds like you interviewed very well, so that's great for anything that comes up in future. Hopefully the agency will also look to see if you're suitable for anything else they have as I think they would be very keen to recommend you as you got such good feedback from this company.

    Morgen Froggy,

I've been there as a candidate and a recruiter when the whole process is a bit of a stitch up so you can justifiably retain your grumpy face today. rlc is absolutely right though - now that there's a high probability of the agency getting a placement fee for you, you'll see them stick a lot more effort into your move. Even though it may not seem like it today, you can take the positives from the experience as there are plenty there.

    Cheers,

    Billy

That sucks Froggy. Sorry politics have played a part in it all. I think your more than entitled to have a grumpy face today - only for today mind. Been in that position myself and its unfair.

However YOU did fantastic, when the next interview comes along for a great job (and it will!) you know now that your interview skills are prefect. Well done for interviewing so well and although its not want you want, you did manage to come second out of all they interviewed.
Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!

As Billy's gran would no doubt have said 'what's for ye will no go by ye'

Sooo true, and I often think if they don't give you the job it means you wouldn't have been happy working there.

Cold comfort, I know, but head down and batter on.

    Morning :j

I have just made a £200 OP which will take the loan element to below the £7K mark.. As I said before, as soon as we get the final bill from the plumber we will make another OP, which should be over £1K...
OH has been playing with the figures and reckon the loan element will be paid back before the end of October (target was 31.12.11), which would leave us 2 more months to OP + OH's bonus in November, to make a serious dent in the main mortgage..

    Hope everybody is well...

Well done on the OP Froggy!

yep, it will feel good when it's gone..That should put us back in positive equity.. Then I can start OP'ing the main mortgage online, rather than sending cheques...:p

How will people manage come 2018 when cheques are no more?!

Must be a good feeling to be in positive equity.

Any major plans for the weekend ahead?
