How will people manage come 2018 when cheques are no more?!

Must be a good feeling to be in positive equity.

Any major plans for the weekend ahead?

Northern Rock still seems to be about 20 years behind everybody else... I can't see my mortgage balance online either..:mad:

Plans for the weekend?!!? Good question, did not think about that..Original thought was to celebrate my new job, but this is not to be ..so will have to rethink that one...
Apart from the usual chores, I'd like to do something a bit different, but that does not cost much money.. I expect I'll be watching the Manc derby in the FA cup, and I think the Gunners are on the telly on Sunday... My OH is off to Scotland Sunday night for a couple of days..
    Any ideas, advice gratefuly received!

can't see it online? that is daft! Halifax show me a figure but its only updated after a payment (ie an OP or the monthly mortgate), would be nice to see a more detailed analysis of the daily interest etc, but then again I imagine the bank figure the less we know the less likely we are to address the issue.

A couple of nights OH free, that really is a treat that I like! :rotfl:
My OH finally returned in our bed last night from the spare room. I had got used to having all the bed to myself!

You should maybe get a token gift or romantic gesture for when she comes back. I usually find it gets me a days good grace to get away with not doing so many house jobs! :D

Ermm things to do this weekend, I guess the main influence will be the weather.

I have prepared OH's car so she can drive safely to Scotland shortly..
On MSE news, I have listed 12 items on Amazon!! Woohoo!! So easy and quick to list, very clear fees.. And within 2 minutes, 2 DVD's sold!! I love it!!:D:D
I also got a £1.76 voucher from Mr T, as they were not cheaper than Mr A :p...

    Hello!:j

Thanks for stopping by.. As disappointing as the outcome of the interview was, I have to move on, I can't change what has happened.. I should be grateful I have a job, so I will continue looking until the right opportunity comes knocking..;)

    Afetrnoon all! :j

Busy morning in the office..I have just stopped to grab some lunch, and then i will be straight back to it...
I have sold 6 items on Amazon in the last 24 hours, I love it its so easy.. It takes seconds to list, then sit back, relax and just wait for the Amazon email to pop up saying "SOLD!!" :D

For some odd reasons, I can't access my email at home or at work today.. Very annoying indeed

OH is in Scotland, so only Elvis and I to look after the house!! let's party!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Bathroom update: going very slowly (we only have a single tradesman doing all the work).. We currently have all the walls tiled and toilet & shower in place.. Still to do: bath, floor tiles, lighting, sink & cupboard units & towel rail.. Not sure he will finish by the end of the week yet...

    Cheers

Sorry to hear about the job turning out like that. Something better is there for you.

Bathrooms have a habit of taking longer than you think. It will be worth it when done though. Enjoy having the house to yourself with the cat.
