    Hey Froggy
well done on 5% off the mortgage!! ;)
Think I am gonna use local butcher for our next meat shop and get some good healthy food inside us! well done with the wt loss!
Sounds like alovely leaving do for colleague- how goes the job hunt for you?

    Hey TYO! :j

I highly recommend the local butcher, you'll love it!! :p

Job hunt is slow, not many jobs about.. One of the agency mentioned something coming up, so I should get more details early next week.. At work, following departure of one of my team, it sounds like I won't have to deal with "that" specific person (other manager in the wider department) thats doing my head in, so it will be one less annoying thing on my mind...

OH was looking at finances earlier and everything is on track :D

How is your job hunt coming? Will you look for something similar, or take the plunge and change completely? OH & I often have that discussion and there will be at some point the opportunity for me to take a pay cut and find a job I truly enjoy (but I really don't know what yet!!:o)..

    Cheers

    Morning Froggy,

Well done on hitting the 5% landmark. Keeping track of all the various barriers is something I wish we'd done better. It was my intention to mark every £10,000 of the mortgage with a nice meal but we somehow never got round to anything other than one of those.

Hope the new job comes along soon. Glad some of the stress is lifted in the current place. We've started getting out chicken direct from the butcher as well and it's amazing how much better it is than the supermarket rubbish. Not a massive amount more on the cost either.

    Cheers,

    Billy

As the title says, its a bit of a mixed bag of news today...

B&Q called at the weekend to say that the bathroom could only be delivered on 19th March, despite calling two weeks ago saying it would all be delivered this week.. I had already planned with the fitter.. Now I look like a right fool..So the fitting will have to be postponed to late March/early April...

We have now booked our June holiday, and we are off to Scotland for a long week of relaxation in North West Scotland! I can't wait, never been up there..Apparently we could even go whale watching!! The taste of fresh fish & great seeafood, nice Scots & great culture, this what I need!!

Job search wise, I have not heard anything from any of the recruitment agencies, its a tiny bit depressing, but hey ho one must keep strong and fight on.. The mood at work is not getting better at all.. I have to start ignoring people that are annoying me.. Its not like me, but I have no choice whatsoever..

Table tennis tomorrow, which will be a very tough game, fat club Thursday, and then a long weekend for just me & Elvis, as OH is away in London till Monday night.. I had acupuncture and it felt great once again..

Finance wise, all looks great and there should be another OP at the end of February...

Thats all folks, am now sat watching The Biggest Loser :p

    Cheers

The Quidco cashback for our holidays has already tracked and got validated.. £31 here we go!
It's just like getting paid to go on holidays, I love it!

Weather is disgusting up here..Oh well, bring on the weekend, so at least I don't have to be stuck in the office...;)

Don't yet know what I will be doing this weekend as I am on my own.. Any ideas what I could do??

    Morning Froggy,

Great news on the holiday and the quidco. You'll love it up here. I've always said that Scotland is the best place in the world to be from and to visit. My views alter that wee bit when talking about the best place to live permanently but Moyra is not for moving the big house plans to Southern Nevada as yet! Well done on the quidco as well. It's a brilliant website. I'm still not sure how they make very much money but all power to them.

I did warn you to not put too much store in the agencies. As a profession (and I use the word loosely), they're an odious bunch up there with lawyers and traffic wardens. I'm sure you'll get something soon. Best of luck with the table tennis tonight. I'm at the darts again tomorrow which I have again failed to put in a single bit of practice for. My 2 for 2 record seems to validate this approach mind!

Looking forward to the next OP...

    Cheers,

    Morning all, morning Billy! :j

Well, table tennis ended in a draw 5-5 last night.. Great result against the third in the table! Picked up a foot injury though  which I hope will clear up by next week..
Work is hell today, really feel like giving up and go and stack shelves at Tesco...
I have made all the necessary bank transfers, just need to make a final check with OH, and I will be sending the OP in the morning.. Am now waiting patiently for the news regarding the Bank of England interest rate, and I am hoping that it will remain the same...

    Have a great day all!

    Cheers

    Morning all! :j

    Hope everybody is ok?

    Finally its Friday!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH & I paid off in full the Tesco CC last night, so we made an OP of £250 this morning, to bring us to a total of £400 so far in February... We are very happy with that so far.. We are still a very long way from our target of £10K this year, but we are both working hard to achieve it.. I might get a bonus next month, not much though but anything would help, and I am also due a pay rise, starting end of March...while OH will get her yearly bonus at the end of September...

I dropped OH off at the station this morning at 6, and am already falling asleep in my office :o.. Good news today is I have been invited out for lunch...Free lunch! Thats the way to go!!

Been to fat club last night, and my weight stayed the same this week.. I might stop going as I am not getting any more out of it..I still have all the books, and I know plenty of people that have the online access...Will save a fiver a week, that can go straight into the OP pot..

My foot is feeling a bit better this morning, and I am hoping to be fit by next week for the next table tennis game...:o

Weekend ahead looks good, manchester derby on the telly, and boys weekend in with Elvis...:rotfl:

    Cheers

The weekend is already over  I really wish it would be longer..:p

A few small achievements made this weekend while OH is away:
    - Got the outstanding tiles from that place that were out of stock last week
    - Food shopping done as well as some stuff from Elvis' shop
    - Cooking (chilli for the next two nights) and banana cake done
    - Washing, washing up done
    - House cleaned from top to bottom..
    - Finances checked...

The banana cake should keep my staff happy on a Monday morning...OH should be back from London tomorrow night, I will pick her up on my way back from acupuncture..

Mortgage wise, not much to report, I will call NRAM next Saturday to get updated figures, and will wait for OH to be paid on 28/02 then probably make another OP...:T

    Hope everybody is well!

    Cheers
