    Hello all! :j

I am back from the interview... It all went really well.. I did not get stuck with any of the questions they had, and feel I have made a good connection with them.. We chatted a bit after the interview about travels & places we had visited.. There were 2 other candidates for that job, I saw one of them in the car park and wished her good luck (even though I did not mean it - sorry i know its mean, but sometimes you have to be selfish)..
I will get the answer tomorrow, so will know if I have got the job or not by the weekend.. They wanted to sleep on their decision tonight...
Thanks again to all of you for the good wishes! :T I felt very much supported by all of you :D.. If you fingers don't hurt too much, please keep them crossed!!

    Cheers

    Evening all!

Just heard from the agency and I did not get the job..I finished second best..They offered the job to a person that had worked previously with one of the recruiters..Clearly unfair, but nothing I could have done to compete..They did not even have any negative feedback whatsoever..
I am very disappointed, but I must move on..

  • Aww thats a bummer especially as it went so well. Clearly you was at an unfair disadvantage.

Pick yourself up and move on, keep looking, it was just not meant to be I guess.

  • Oh Froggy sorry to hear about the job :( Its horrible when you get into thinking about it, and from everything youve said it sounds like you made a great impression. unfortunately sounds like , as you say, there was nothing you could do about events that led to the final decision- though horribly unfair...

I am telling myself in all this that the right thing will come along- and I truly believe that - however dissapointing it feels at the time.

I hope youve got a nice weekend planned. The way I see it attacking the mortgage is my 2-pronged approach to getting into the right place job/career wise- if I had no mortgage the job stuff wouldnt matter quite as much! ;)

Hopefully you will have a shiney new bathroom soon too to relax in ....
  • Oh froggy that must be dissapointing, but something else will come along and the interview experience will put you in a good position You will have to post a picture of the new bathroom for us to see.......i am sure you cant wait. Hope you have a good weekend

Aw :(. Their loss Froggy. As Billy's gran would no doubt have said 'what's for ye will no go by ye' - the right job will come along for you and take heart - you could not have done any better.

    :( Oh dear Froggy :(

However, you never know! Either this is a stepping stone to something better or if the other person doesn't work out you have given a good account of yourself - you just never know what might follow!!!

Well done, for doing so well in this process so have a beer anyway:beer:.

    Kindest Regards
