Nerd No. 1173! :j
Made by God...Improved by the The Devil0 -
Betty was a bit of a demon in her wheelchair,
and loved to charge around the nursing home,
taking corners on one wheel
and getting up to maximum speed on the long corridors.
Because the poor woman was one sandwich short of a picnic
the other residents tolerated her and some of them actually joined in.
One day Betty was speeding up one corridor
when a door opened and Kooky Clarence
stepped out with his arm outstretched.
'STOP!,' he shouted in a firm voice.
'Have you got a license for that thing?'Betty fished around in her handbag
and pulled out a Kit Kat wrapper
and held it up to him.
'OK' he said,
and away Betty sped down the hall.
As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel,
weird Harold popped out in front of her
and shouted 'STOP!
Have you got proof of insurance?'Betty dug into her handbag,
pulled out a drink coaster
and held it up to him.
Harold nodded and said
'On your way, Ma'am.'
As Betty neared the final corridor,
Crazy Craig stepped out in front of her,
Butt- Naked, and holding
his 'You-Know- What' in his hand.
'Oh, good grief,' yelled Betty,
'Not that Damn Breathalyzer Test again.!!!'

Normally when a clutch is wearing, you hear the vehicle over revving occasionally (especially if going uphill) and it gets more and more frequent. Once it starts it's best not to delay too long or it can get really bad and won't take too long to get there.
I'm no mechanic but I doubt that the screeching noise was anything to do with it.
No transport must be a right PITA.
Hi Paul
I don't know wether it's the clutch or the cable thats gone, the mechanic still hasnt come for my car :mad: but no there was no warning! The only problem I've had with my car is that screeching noise for the last few months! Am giving mechanic til this afternoon to do something or I'm ringing someone else up!! He is a good mechanic tho and I know he won't rip me off!! we'll see
And yes it's a bloody nightmare not having a car!!! Although when DS2 get's his butt in gear I can have his car.Morning all - ITS FRIDAY!!!!!

I can't do it any longer.... I am now paying the £177.35 I need to pay off my first credit card which will close automatically when I've paid it off.
I've destroyed my deposit account (it now has just £80odd instead of £265) but I'll sort that out when it comes to it. I so wanted to get this card paid off by the end of the year and it's unbearable knowing I have enough money sitting there!! Robbing Peter to pay Paul but :j I've paid it off!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
