A Payment A Day - Part 9

Thanks Julie
I have made the balance transfer now and chopped up the card so it's not possible any more anyway - well unless I buy online...:p
Just in the process of updating my spreadsheets and things to reflect the new financials, and have also made a PAD of £52.46 to clear the bit of the old balance that I didn't bother tranfering over. So that card is now clear, might just have a bit of residual interest.
Does anyone else have an Egg credit card - I am currently trying to figure out how I will be able to pad to it. I have a monthly direct debit of £150 set to go to them anyway but will pay more than that as always - do Egg take additional payments as extra, or do they take it off the DD amount?
For example, my £150 goes every month - if I pad £10, will they still take the £150 (total payment £160) or will they count it as part of my payment and just take £140 on DD day (total payment £150)
Sorry if that's confusing!!

The last time I made an additional payment to Egg, it did not reduce the direct debit amount. I set mine up as a bill payment from my bank account and just send an additional payment when I can. I don't do this at the moment though. This is because I have two rates with Egg. Most of it is an LOB deal. The rest is a 0% deal that is ending very soon. I'm not paying them extra until next year because they are waiting till January 1st to start offsetting extra payments against the higher interest rate.0 -
Cheers Paul, hopefully it will be the same with this one then
I like to know that I have a definite payment going, then that I can pay more as and when just in case an emergency crops up.
