I get paid every Thursday and it's usually gone by Friday!! Most of my dd's come out the first 2 weeks of the month so money is tight then I have 1 week where nothing goes out and I think I've got money and go shopping, my biggest downfall :o I'm crap with budgets and sticking to them!!!

I'm starting to look for another job (well when I get my finger out!) as the boss is 70 next year and he keeps saying he's shutting the place down as he's had enough of all the stress :( He's been saying it for awhile but the last couple of weeks he's said it almost every day (sometimes twice a day) and he keeps losing his temper with everyone :( but I don't want to get a new job yet just incase we might get redundancy!! :) But all this uncertainty is doing my head in! We normally go quiet in the summer but it should be picking up now and it isn't!! We get alot of our work from various councils and I think with all this crap with the government cutting this, that and the other they're all waiting to see what happens and not spending!

    Tricky situation!

It may be worth your while getting out now - just for your own piece of mind!

Nobody listened when I said not to vote blue :D:p :rotfl:

  • Green, at least have a look. Never know what you might find!

I have just been working out my balances after min payments clear and I'm pretty much back down to the total balance I was in June. Hopefully I can stop it increasing again....

I went and spent a few hours at that caring job yesterday. I'm going to struggle with it, learning the routine she has and what goes where but I'm sure I'll get there. It's just so different to anything I've done before and I'm very worried. To be honest, if I didn't desperately need the money I wouldn't do it, but it's good pay and I can't afford to turn it down. Even if I do a couple of nights every couple of months it'll be an extra £200.

Green I'm the same... I have a whole spreadsheet with a budget down the penny but I always end up losing some money somewhere and still skint by the end of the month. But it does help me a bit to have it all written down.

Comp hope you have a fab holiday x

Funny you should mention caring Psycho - I've been looking at that as someone I know has just started doing it. It's where you go to their house (hours to be arranged) and take them out/shopping, just sit with them and chat, whatever they want to do really. Now I could do the chatting bit no problem lol. It won't be on the same money as I am now but at least I wouldn't be sat in an office with 2 biatches like I am now!!!
