Sort of... I wouldn't really call it 'ultimate' though as I wouldnt say any of them were the best housemates!!

  • Oh yeah.... when I see all the old clips I remember more and more!

SW gone to pants today as I have had a bbq so eaten a ton of crisps, chocolate and beefbrgers. Also 2 bottles of cider, a bottle of alcoholic ginger ale and lots of malibu. MSE has gone down the pan too as I've managed to spend £50 out of my savings :( All in all a shocking weekend, but going to do my observation and stuff for part time job tomorrow!! YAY!

I was really disappointed in the UBB line up. There are way better housemates they could have got back in there. I loved the first few series of BB but then when they did BB5 I just couldn't stand the attentions seeking people on it, I've carried on watching it casually though.

  • Hi

Just wondering if anyone is still dieting with me?

I weighed myself on Friday and put on 2lb

Not sure how that happened but I wondered whether it was because I had done Shred and am toning up instead of losing weight.

Will have to try harder this week as I need to lose at least a stone in 7 weeks, not sure if I can manage that but want to get into my bikini.

Anyway PAD of £40 to Duet card

OK - Calling all Scottish Padders! Specifically ones who know Edinburgh... Weirdly enough the only Scottish people I know are you lot on this thread!

Me and the b/f have found some cheapy flights from East Mids to Edinburgh and are thinking of straying above the border for the first time ever in the october break...

Does anyone know of any hotels that are nice but reasonable cost? We will want to look round the city centre and the castle, I don't really know what else is there tbh but I'm sure there is plenty! I would normally do travelodge (and will if there's nowhere better) but as it's our only holiday together I would like somewhere a bit nicer (but probably can't stretch to somewhere really posh :( )
Hotels I can't help with, but here are some good and touristy suggestions....

Castle - really interesting if you like your history but bl00dy expensive at £14 per adult. Remember, if you want to look like a local, don't !!!!!! yourself at 1pm when they fire the 1 o clock gun (Ruddy great cannon) from the Castle :rotfl:

Walk down from the Castle to St Giles Cathedral, which is stunning.

Museum of Childhood isn't particularly "Scottish" as such, but is a good jaunt down memory lane and gloriously free :D You reach this by walking down the Royal Mile from the Castle - make sure to walk a little bit past the Museum of Childhood to the fudge shop as they give free samples :rotfl:

Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street is free and fab fun for a rainy day - especially the bit with stuffed bears etc. I avoid the insecty bit though  Although the museum is free, they often have special exhibits - I loved the Egyptian one.

Galleries - there are five across Edinburgh and there certainly used to be a free bus that took you between them all. The Portrait Gallery is closed at the moment, which is a shame as they do an excellent scone :D

Edinburgh Zoo rocks my world - but again it's not cheap at £14 per person. they have been refurbishing a lot of it, and I'm going on the next free entry day - always in the middle of bl00dy winter :rotfl:I love the zoo because of this...

Use this website as it's really useful for upcoming events and exhibits. I use it a lot to check out book signings and so on.

If I think of anything else I'll let you know :D
