  • Phew, I'm glad it's not just me that it annoys. I thought I was being highly strung this morning.

Pooky, that sounds lovely and you and your family deserve a treat.

Buffy - the pool is this one here - it's filling as I type...looks a decent enough size and deep enough to sit in comfortably and be in the water - not just waist deep.

As for the desk - yeah paint it - just give it a decent rub down with sand paper first to give it a key and use an undercoat (I use matt emulsion) then gloss on top - nice and hard wearing.

Just loading the pics of my bookcase to my blog now :D

Glad you're having a successful day Pooky. I'm not doing quite so well.

The further I go along the bathroom wall the more holes and crumbly the wall is (it is a partition one, not load bearing). The wall appears to be held up by the tiles not the other way round. The guy who fitted the carpet said 'It's alright provided you're putting new tiles up', but I'm a bit concerned. Fortunately have a friend coming round tonight who is doing my wardrobe door and my cooker hood so will run it past him.

Then the icing on the cake. One side of the computer desk has fallen off in a kind of fatal way (as in it's dead, not that it had a small child standing next to it at the time). I am currently sitting on my nice new carpet in the study and typing this on the side table for the garden bench. It all looks very feng shui but is not the most comfortable. Have found a £26 desk in Ikea so will require a visit in the next few days.

    More money!

Only managed to run 3kms today-whats up with me?? Last week I was easily doing 5, this week I've done 4 and 3 !!!You runners out there..do new trainers make a difference? My calves are sort of cramping up,and my toes go numb (although that's normal for me in trainers)..getting a tad cheesed off, seem to be going backwards rather than forwards...

    howdy chaps and chappesses...

boring as hell morning, highlight of the morning was watching 3 police cars turn up to take a guy from the library opposite.

Relaxing afternoon - I love my afternoons on my own ;):D

Wii Fit session was hard work today, it was making my right hip hurt on the side which has the damage from the accident. But, am determined to do a small amount of regular exercise daily.
