Wet Wednesday ~ Daily Chat 28th July

Yes I know, you're all looking out of the window thinking 'What is she talking about .......it's not raining'.

Ah well it's more that I am wet AND clean. Yes the plan to put gaffer tape and a plastic bag over my bath repair has worked and I have been able to have a shower, albeit a careful one (Phew!). So fear not, the residents of the North East are not going to be complaining about that terrible pong - at least not from me!

Well more tiles to remove today - a bit more carefully than yesterday!
'Eddy' is coming to fit a carpet in here today so the study will be ready. So I think I'll focus on sorting the garage and the second bedroom.

But first Breakfast :j

good news on the shower...well sort of good news anyway!
Lovely sunny day here...im already getting bored of these school holidays, im climbing the walls as I can't get out to run and everything costs money!
Today I shall be phoning the garage to try and get my car sorted (its leaking water and overheating..sounds expensive) and then taking DD to the school swimming pool for 90 mins of her swimming and me sunning myself on the poolside

Must start packing soon I guess!

Morning Buttilita,

I managed to get loads done so far this morning as internet speed is so much faster!
Today, I have a few errands to run and need to place order for Cambridge and see a few clients and pack for my weekend away-so excited!

DH and I went out last night to Pizza the Hut and had one of those cheesy stuffed crusts thingys-both really unwell last night. I only had 1.5 pieces and was stupid full and felt so uncomfortable all night-stupid full and well, v windy. Never again-we have had some really dire meals lately!

Morning all...
Had a day off yesterday,but am heading off to gym shortly for another 5kms,will take DD and we can swim afterwards, then think we'll go shopping for school shoes, and birthday pressies...whatever she gets will have to be compact enough to take on holiiday as it's her birthday while we are away..still warm n sunny here..

Morning everyone! :hello:

It’s lovely here too – I cycled into work so I have a lovely smug glow about me! :rotfl: I think if it is nice I will cycle home at the end of the day BUT the hill just before our street is an absolute killer so I will have to work up the enthusiasm to do it! I have a friend coming for tea tonight, haven’t decided yet what to make her. She has has a hard time recently, with lots of things, so we had a long hard talk about it a few weeks ago and she is going to try and climb out of her little (well, big to her) funk. I have said I will help in any way I can, I also explained how I had recently had my Lightbulb Moment and had taken control of finances which had made me feel much better about everything in my life and she has asked if I would help her do the same….so we may have another recruit ladies! (I think it’s just ladies on the board today, sorry to any guys who may have just come on!)

Today I am expecting another busy day in work, but hey ho, it makes the time go quicker!

Butti - Glad you managed to have a shower, I did laugh at your eagerness to get the tiles off - that's just how I am - a job needs doing - get on with it and half way through realise that a little bit of prep and planning would have made things a darn sight easier.

Jo - Well done on the cycle to work - how far is it?

Buns - We've given up on all takeaways/fast food now - we always feel ill afterwards and it's not the treat you think it is if you spend the next 2 days feeling crap.

DD2's phone bill was in yesterday - needless to say I wasn't a happy bunny and the house of Pooky was a very, very subdued one after I lost my temper big time. So today I get to deal with sulky DD2 who's been grounded for the rest of the week (in hindsight grounding her wasn't the best idea as I now have to deal with the "evils")....joy!

Off to wrestle a book case into the garden for a bit of a make over - I'm sure photos will be on my blog at some stage (depending on how it turns out).

NSD number 2 for this week as I'm not leaving the house again today.

I am still feeling really sick so in bed, not the best start to the holidays ever but at least I am not stressing about work which is utter BLISS.

little nap and then get on with sorting wardrobe.

Pooky don't worry they soon grow and then the problems are of a different sort - bring back the sleepless nights and teething could cope with those!!

I am in the office - trying to get motivated. Sadly have a very very poorly friend so am off there tonight to try and help her. Still waiting for test results from her doctor who is chasing the hospital.
