Hi all, hope the poorlies feel less poorly soon!

LMC - that is a bit of a strange thing to do in the office, unless everyone does it, if you know what I mean? But as they obviously don't - then nope I wouldn't!

LMC - always amazes me how some staff really do take the mic but they get away with it. If I was to do it I would get into trouble. Billie

  • Cool I'm glad it's not me that finds it strange. The boss has raised it a few times mind you.

Just been for a walk and the sun is shining, it's a lovely day and I wish I was on a beach. **a girl can dream.**

You're so right! I know that in other areas of my life I am still away with the fairies a wee bit, but when it comes to money I now feel much more switched on - I never would have had the confidence to offer help / advice to others before I sorted myself out (well, it would've been a tad hyprocritical, wouldn't it? :rotfl:)

Jo - Well done on the cycle to work - how far is it?

    Hi Pooks!

It's about 3.5 miles, so it takes me between 15 and 20 minutes - nice to clear your head before and after work, IYKWIM?

Also would you paint your finger nails in an office?

Painting your nails in the office is like going in and having a shave at your desk....personal grooming is something to do at home.....I'd get quite peeved at people doing that.

Well I've sanded, I've wire brused, I've undercoated (with help from sulky child) and I've glossed.....oh and I've waxed the top and shelves.....just waiting for the paint to dry now.

My garden, tiny as it may be, is such a sun trap so I've splashed out some of our christmas savings and brought a bubble pool ...cross between a paddling pool and a jacuzzi.....reduced in the sale (of course)...it's only little but should be lovely to sit in whilst the sun blazes down. Shall be setting it later so fingers crossed it stays dry.
