Best Wedding List Service?

  • To get your guests to contribute towards your honeymooon, honeymoney.com are good. They let you set up a 'virtual list' of all you need for your honeymoon - whatever you like; you pick eg. 'Matching Lyuggage', 'Cocktails on Arrival', whatever and then your guests can 'pay' for these things. Best part is you don't have to actually spend the £30 Aunty Bessy gave you for the Cocktails on cocktails; honeymoney just write a cheque for everything 'bought' and let you spend it on what you want! Great for some relatives who are funny about just giving money. Plus, if you quote PRMT21 then the £50 set up fee will be waived.

Seems like John Lewis are the guys to go with, though we are thinking of setting up something that will allow people to pay into to go towards out honeymoon, which we are having the year after. Doe anyone know how I can do this?

We did this as part of our list

Most companies - like Thomsons, Thomas Cook, etc let you book on your credit card then you send off the vouchers after the wedding and it gives you cash back on to the card you paid with if that makes sense. We used Thomas Cook. If you ring them they will send you leaflets to add to your invites.

  • Some friends of mine (getting married next week) are currently using www.wrapit.com and are really happy with it - I believe their stock is really flexible, i.e. if they haven't got some of the items you want, they can acquire them specially.

  • Radio 2 said that wrapit.com went into receivership on Wednesday. Is this true?

Have a look at the topic Wrapit on this forum - it tells you about Wrapit and administration.

We're just using https://www.wishlist.com. We're working off two different currencies -- £ and € -- and this site lets you add stuff from any website. It'll then redirect you to the necessary site and you can buy it from there. I guess it only really works well as an online thing though so might not suit everyone.
