Hi to you all. For over a year now i have been worrying about going br, and thanks to you lovely people on here i have booked my court date, and at last am taking the plunge. Not the best date but hey cant get much worse than it already is so please add me to your list. Friday 13th, less than 1 week to go and hopefully i can breathe easy. I will be doing the dreaded forms over the next few days, and no doubt have one or two moments where panic sets in and may need a bit of advice, but will try not to drive you all nuts with my questions. Before i go begin getting things in order can i just say what an absolute godsend you people are, if i hadnt come across this site i doubt i would be facing up to my money problems so a huge thankyou to you all x0

Hi and welcome to the forum, just ask as many questions as you feel you need to, but you are better asking them in the main forum as you will get more answers there. Try not to worry too much (not easy I know) but you will be fine, the court process is not any where as painful as you think it will be. Oh and I have added you to our list

Hey dojoman!
Anychance you can edit the list please me old cocker? It currently reads 'goginthebath'!
In answer to your question it's all going really well & court was suprisingly painless. It's kind of like a catchphrase 'round here don't you think?
Cheers

I'm booked in for the 18th and so can you please add me. I feel totally terrified. So glad you are all here. Everything now seems to be happening so fast. I need to open a co-op account today and make sure my wages get paid to that at the end of the month - hope I have time to do this. What about my mobile phone contract - will I have to go to Pay as you go? That's fine but just need to know whether to transfer the DD and the one for my car insurance as I'm hoping, really hoping I can keep the car. x0

Hi sealsandsqueals
Glad you have got your date booked, and try not to worry, this time last year I was totally terrified too! But im only days away from AD and I feel very different now. The court day is usually professional and non-judgemental and most people post with a good experience of it, so you will be fine. We had mobile phone contracts and they were all fine in the BR. They just continued as normal.
If I was you I would move all your DD's including the car, because this can take a while to sort out and at this stage you don't know the outcomne for it yet. Good luck with everything, we are here to support you.
