    no i have tried that, it still says installation failed

    i have uninstalled the virgin security and it does not show in add remov programmes but the firewall is still there:mad:

    i have phoned virgin who say they can help if i pay!! as it was there security that let 77 virus's in i really dont see why i should pay them to help me get rid of their software !!

    untick use a proxy, and test IE.

    Then run a FULL scan with malwarebytes (after updating) if you haven't already, let it deal with anything it finds, then post a hijackthis log

    thanks, phoned virgin again and it was something to do with proxy settings!! all working now:D

    however the virgin tech guy told me its impossible for the firewall to still be there even tho i am sitting here looking at the security centre telling me its there and turned on!! so he had no idea how to get rid of it :(

    See previous post, you probably still have traces of the infection.

    Not sure which version of VM security you have, but you could try this removal tool

    ok, not all working after all!!

    i an connect to internet but cant install a new anti virus becuase its telling me virgn is still there
