How daft to have all the docs on a training day! Glad you're feeling a little better though cheri. Very wise to stay off work xxx0

Definitely right to cancel the hairdresser, it wasn't urgent and you can reschedule for another day when you feel better. I fainted after the hairdressers once. Knew I wasn't feeling well as I paid and walked towards the exit but decided "I'll go straight to the nearest coffee place and sit down for a bit" but I didn't make it that far and collapsed on the floor
They all thought it was because I hadn't eaten which wasn't true at all (I like my food). I don't know why it happened but my health can be a bit fragile sometimes.

Morning World, morning all. Today I am not going to be whingey. If you spot a moan kick me.
Mags that sounds very scary. I hope that it was nothing serious. Yes, my hair is in need of sorting but it isn't the end of the world to wait.
Cheery - yes seems odd that they all train at once but it is probably the cheapest option for them (that or some drugs company rep wanted to see them all)

Managed to sit up straight for 10 minutes yesterday so managed to sort out the European breakdown cover. Despite being quoted £240 for recovery plus european cover by one of the big names I managed to get Home, Recover,European Plus yesterday with SwingingTons for just £70!! and that via topcahsback with a 20% cashback (although reviews suggest that it rarely pays out). How pleased am I?
Cheque from insurance arrived. Car hunting to commence in earnest after Christmas. Might need some tips Cheery.
Drs appt booked, cant go until tomorrow which is good as I am swimming again! Must get up and go and put the recycling out. I emptied my office earlier in the week and I now have 5 bags of old leaflets and papers for them. That felt good. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Thats amazing coping with the insurance when you felt like that, *and* doing it so cheaply, well doneyou! You sound more or less recovered, yes? And even tho you know what causes it, still best to get a doctor's update, I would think.
I love the positivity! I like the quote from crafty scholar on MG's thread a couple of days ago, I printed it out and stuck it on a kitchen cabinet.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC. I am still not "right" as when I do have an attack it can exhaust me and take days to get over it. I guess that I am so used to it, although I havent had attacks like this for several years and I forgot how frightening they can be.
I am switching my positive head on. However something FW said over on the matrix made sense about rather than positive thinking, power thinking is the way to go. This made sense when I thought it through I am a very positive person usually but I have noticed lateley that I have been thinking "be positive" rather than thinking ok, this is the situation how can I make it work for me. Which is very different to positive thinking. I am rambling but it does make sense to me. I must go back and check out crafty scholars quote. I seem to have been lacking in them of late. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Oh, I like the phrase "power thinking" - very good. I can see lots of openings-up in that ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Dare I ask what the situation is with moo - I've read back but not sure if you've posted a solution and I've missed it?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Yes Pippi, that seemed to suddenly make a lot of sense to me. It is one thing to think positively but quite another to do powerthinking. By the way I think that you do that all of the time. Always coming up with solutions to conundrums. Very inspirational.
OH is, as I type, heading to meet a home boarder who happens to have 2 great danes! She lives enroute to his parents from where he works so that is a bonus. She is very keen to look after him. So OH is inspecting the set up and interviewing her tonight. He is more careful than I am. He has already inspected two kennels and said no to them. If he is happy with the house and the set up then we will take Moo to meet her and the Danes on Sunday. Its 2 hours from here so poor OH will be spending another full weekend in the car. He is exhausted I think.

I don't think there is a solution yet pippi

(and I wouldn't ask me for advice about cars :rotfl: ours failed its MOT 4 weeks after we bought it :rotfl: And now seems to have what a friend has diagnosed as a small hole in a fuel pipe... Hopefully easily fixable, and will mean it both goes faster and is more fuel efficient when it's done :T :T Going to the car docs on Monday :T)0 -
Ooh, cross posted there cheri - and you've very nearly got a solution! :j :j Excellent news, well done you! :j :j Fingers crossed.... xxx0
