Re: Sky Sports on Virgin Media. A while back we ordered it for on a monthly basis just for a specific period. When we no longer wanted it we phoned and they cancelled. They should definitely not be starting you on a new 12 month contract.0

they entered new 12 month contract when adding phoneline - not sky sports0 -
Hi there, just got off the phone with virgin media, I was looking to add sky sports to my package for the coming football season.
I thought I could try and negotiate a deal as I've had my tv and broadband package for a year now, but have been told that when I added the phone service in november I started a new 12 month contract!
Is this right? Or am I being fobbed off?
I currently have XL tv with V+, L BB and M phone for £49/month.
Looking through other threads I don't think I'm getting a very good deal!
Ideally I would like add Sky Sports, and have looked into dropping the tv to M+, but this still works out around £55/month.
Is there anything i can do to get the price down when my contract (supposedly) isn't up until November?
Any advice/opinions would be appreciated.
thanks
Dan
you can call retentions even whilst in contract & ask if they can find a better deal for you. dial 150 from your virgin landline & keep choosing option 2 until you get through to retentions0 -
Most Retentions offers also come with a new 12 month contract though.:heart2: Friday 10 June - Getting married! :heart2:0
