I really suggest you go and get a tetanus asap - you really could develop a nasty infection that could cause serious complications.0

I have many pairs in many colours. A croc for all seasons and situations. Though clearly DIY isn't one of the better croc wearing situations.
Oh indeed, life without many pairs of crocs isn't worth living.I have no idea but I've bathed it in alcohol and savlon and I'm now treating it from the inside too by drinking the rest of the alcohol.
Seriously hun, I hope you are at A&E, and not merely in a drunken stupor from drinking the alcohol when bathing didn't work.
if you haven't gone to A&E at the very least you MUST go to the GP first thing in the morning for a tetanus.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Lots of sympathy from me too. Sounds like you are doing all the right things to look after it.
Jonathan Cainer (astrologist) said something the other day about people being accident prone during a full moon
I too have become a diy casualty. Went off to IKEA Sat. evening. wanted some chests of drawers and an induction hob (as you do on a saturday evening - beats takeaways!) My neighbour from my last house wanted to come with me as I was at the bbq out the front of my old house with all the ex neighbours.
Off we went, roads quiet, IKEA quiet and was really pleased I could park on the bottom - if you've ever been to the Southampton store and used their upper level car parks you will know what I mean.
We found all the things we wanted and left just as they were closing. Got back to the old house to drop D off, opened my boot and  her flatpack cupboard decided to get itself out of my car and landed on my foot.
It's not broken, had to have it x rayed yesterday but is black and blue and all puffed up. Still had to stand on it yesterday though as I'd promised the plumber I would do the tile grouting so he could crack on today.
This evening I have been grouting and didn't realise how sharp the cut end of the tiles were. I now have pink grouting instead of white.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Puncture wound, possible rusty nail, get a tetanus jab to be on the safe side and keep an eye on it for infection.
And it doesn't half hurt when you do that, done it a few times. You have my sympathiesWow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

Ouch, hope it is not too sore now.
I've never stood on a nail, but when i was younger ( and much fitter ) i used to run for an athletics club. My running spikes were dirty and i turned them upside down to dry so the dirt didnt get on the carpet. Walking bleary eyed round the house the next morning i stepped right on them:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hope you're ok this morning Alias0

Def get a tetanus I had no pain for the first day but it must have hit some nerves and it was excrutiating afterwards, I needed some very strong pain killers.0

Aw thanks for all the concern and sympathy everyone. Very much appreciated.
Foot still sore but much better today so the salt water and savlon must have helped a bit.
I went to bed early last night as I was bushed, didn't go to A&E, I figured I would wait and see what it was like today.(But I do appreciate you all telling me to go.
