I've just stood on a big flipping nail.

Options
Spent a wee while pulling off old architrave, door framing and skirting. The architrave was nailed on with 40mm brads. I moved forward to get a better grip on it and stood on a piece I'd just taken off....with the nail pointing up....with my crocs on.....

I had to pull it out of my foot and my foot is throbbing now.

It's not moneysaving to do all your own DIY, it costs more in injury downtime...and new crocs. Save yourself some money and get someone in.

All sympathy welcome. :D

Oh my god!!!! I can't believe it, poor you!!!

    You really wear crocs??

    :p

Edit: joking aside, better scrub your foot with soap and disinfect. Must be up there with stepping barefoot on an upturned plug. Ouch!

    Oooooo! You poor thing!

Lots of sympathy on way, I'm sure! Kiss it better if you reach under your poorly foot.

I have many pairs in many colours. A croc for all seasons and situations. Though clearly DIY isn't one of the better croc wearing situations. :D

I have no idea but I've bathed it in alcohol and savlon and I'm now treating it from the inside too by drinking the rest of the alcohol. :D

No more advisable than cooking naked. Yet we all do it!

Give it a really good rinse out and check if the nail was old and rusty, if it was pay extra attention for a few days to make sure your foot is clean, of course it will hurt for a few days but make sure the pain isnt getting worse or the injury looks yukky..

As for the crocks...................chuck them x
