I've reserved some stuff and will go in later today to pick it up hopefully. Has anyone tried it today? Does it still work or did u get "caught"?

Exactly my dh was made to feel like he had stolen by the store manager who said to him if you pay for it you can have it, dh said but ive the receipt with it on. I would have thought they had to honor it tbh but they flattley refused. I know for a fact somewhere like Tescos if something is mispriced they have to sell it you at the misprice so seems crazy dh was treated like a convict:mad:

Many years ago I did some contract law and I think the goods have to be exchanged, ie in your hands, or if it is online, despatched before the contract has been completed. I'm going to try it later, their fault if the system is incorrect. There are probably many people who will genuinely go in to buy the 3 for 2 and get a nice surprise when they come to pay.

so if they said to me this is a mistake you will have to pay full price i think i would be brave enough to say but ive paid how can you want more? i would then say i didnt want them depending on how many people were listening lol. or i might return in the morning for refund

the people that have done it twice at the self service , did you do both together and take 2 recepts to collection point , or, do one and collect and then go back?

No, a shop is not required to sell you anything, or at any price on display. They are making what's called an 'invitation to treat', which can be withdrawn at any time. So Argos dont have to give you the goods they will just refund you the money and tell you the items are unavailable... As long as Argos arent displaying prices which are misleading which they arent in this case then Argos are well within the law..

Lmao! Dh was just waiting for them to open and saw the same manager in the store as in the other store he went to yesterday 20 mins away!! So i told him not to even bother he must be an area manager or something. I may go later though

I am sending Dh to Argos before work too and with the same combo you did yesterday. Hoping he will have no problem... Will keeping you all posted!
