  • Carers get in free because we can't go without them, otherwise it basically costs us double. :)

why should the disabled person be entitled to cheaper fares? (they are still using the same service) etc

Some of us have sensory disabilities - this means we don't get the full experience of what a non-disabled person does. Some disabled peoples disabilities may mean they miss out on certain activities.
why they are anymore 'entitled' to these things than other people? my friend is a prime example she has epilepsy (not fits just she blanks for a few seconds) but she has a free bus pass because she isnt able to drive....well lots of people cant drive, arent able to but they dont get free bus passes. i cant drive so i walk everywhere, even my children walk every where.

im not judging im being geniune in my questions, i just dont get it!!

Whilst many disabled people are physically able to walk (ie, put one foot in front of the other) there is safety too.

Many able bodied people have a choice about out being able to drive - disabled people don't.

When you say you can't drive do you mean you haven't learned to drive or you are not allowed to drive by law? I can't have a driving licence because I'm blind so I don't get a choice, I don't think they give you a bus pass just because you can't drive. So far as I'm aware epileptics are not allowed to drive either.

They have to be fit free for a year and then they can drive. If they fit again during that year, it's a further 6 months they can't drive for.
