Well I have struggled this week, but today, I have started again!
Managed to fix my vacuum myself, as DS just didnt do it, and I was sick of using a dustpan and brush!.

I have reorganised the sitting room, and thats a feat in itself with my spine problems. The chairs are so heavy and boy dont I know it now! But I had had enough.
DS is in trouble when he eventually comes home. The amount of Crisps packets, and choccy wrappers stuffed behind the sofa was not funny!
So the sitting room has been done completely.
Then the bathroom carpet (eek, its a rental property) has been vacuumed.
The kitchen washing up, surfaces and kitchen cupboard has been done.
Washing is on the line, next lot finished, and thats that for me for today.
I have been up since 5.35am as I had a job as Taxi driver to take DD to Silverstone for the Superbikes. She is carpark attendant!.
So I am now waiting for her call to let me knwo when I have to collect her. Sometime tonight, between 6pm - 10pm depending on the speed people leave I suppose.

But although I ddint follow the thread, its motivated me. xx
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

We chose names before, not knowing officially if it was a boy or girl (I said I knew each time, and I was right each time too), and only DS2 remained nameless for a couple of weeks because he didn't look like his name. I originally chose Blair Jonathan (Blair meaning man of the woods, which I liked). Despite OH not being keen,I then chose Alexander, and kept the Blair as a middle name. Curiously, there are several female Blairs around here, so probably just as well.I guess their parents didn't have the same name book as me!

I chose names I'd never taught.

As a teacher, I'd suggest steering clear of any names ending in i, or using a z instead of a s (eg Jazmine). I'm not at all sure about names with Y in the middle (Wayne, Jayne etc). I dislike Stevie and Blue (two girls in my current school), but oddly quite like Ocean-Jade (probably because she's a lovely girl!). I dislike Aron, Aaron and other variations, because I never get the pronunciation correct.

I also teach a delightful Cenghizan, and also a Vladimir, but you may not be too taken with those...:D

Okay, DS1 decluttered to Knebworth, which he's very excited about! He's just rung to check that the train to Stevenage is actually the Cambridge one... He's just going up for the day.

I'm doing random bits of disorganised flying, and really need a coffee...

Had a fantastic evening, myself and hubby found a new pub not very far from where we live which we love.

Our kind of people and our kind of music, we had a great night.

Today I'll be attempting to do a few hhc's I think. We have a party tonight as well in York. Need to get a card. Also must pick a hoover up and collect a dd2 and friend.

Debating whether or not to dye my hair, it needs something and I'm in the mood for a revamp.:D

Re baby's names, I let my DD1's father name her, which I kind of regret as that's about the only input he had...:(....I should have gone with my first choice which was Daisy....

I love names like Dorothy (Dotty), Eleanor (Elly), Florence (Flossy), Rita, Abigail, Cassandra, Charli and Freya.

Boy names, haven't a clue, Robin and Jack are the only ones I can think of.

i don't need to pee during the night.. :D .. Actually i don't need to pee during the day either but there you go.. lol.

I wan to get the crib space sorted which means moving OH's CoD's.. which also means vacuuming is necessary.. and I MUST find some floor in the girls room if possible.. it is vile in there again!

Rach.. sure sign yours is a boy then lol.. :p
when I was expecting DS we had both names picked no problem...no girl's name. Then, when it was DD no boys name - but two girls names for a first name which were at 50/50 - second name was Louise. I'd had that one ready for 20 years...

    Piggers

what about Lorcan (I think its Irish...)

    ooo

    where did that come from?

    and Serena's input is valid.

we have a child starting in reception who has two initials as her name (eg JL but that's not the ones) - the word chav has been mentioned in the staffroom...

middle un was to be David or Emma - he's David

youngest was to be Helen or Michael - she is Helen, but known to us as Mel.

I LOVE Vlad.. not sure OH would be so keen lol.. no it didn't go down well lol.. I have a friend with a boy called Ocean. Alexander is no use as that is dads name.. and my brothers.. and my cousins..

I am thinking Jasmine for a middle name.. given it is pink.. might be odd for a boy! lol

Rita was my stepdads exwife, we have an Ellie, Dorothy is already used too.. I love Florence.. always makes me think of Magic Roundabout (back to 70's programmes lol).. but is awful with the surname.

I do like Robin but the middle name would then have to be b*****d.. and we have a Jack.

I am starting to think it would be lovely to have a little teeny tiny family not the millions of rellies I do have.. thankfully most of my dads family are REALLY boring and use the same 4-5 names over and over.. (David, Michael, James, John and to a lesser extent Anthony)

A girl in my (wider) family is called Jaeger.

apparently it means hunter - oh and no-one is going to think she's named after the fashion brand, are they *roll eyes* I *think* her brother is Hunter. (Or a name that means hunter.)
with my finances I should have one called Primark.

I think it's about time we saw the resurgence of Lettuce as a name. (Girls name popular-ish about 150 yearsago (JOKE!)

And I remember having a discussion with some pleb who criticised Mercedes as a girls' name - actually the car brand was named after the daughter of the designer...it's Spanish and a very popular girls name.

Anyway I have a banana cake in the oven but I had to go and buy more eggs because DS has suddenly started eating them and had eaten almost all the last lot. I have an exhausted kitten draped across my lap, sleeping. Makes up for lack of texts...*sigh*

I went out for dinner with my mother one time and there was a family there with Mercedes, Porsche.. and.. Sierra!!! made me chuckle!! I'd just be glad it wasn't Escort if I was her lol

I think Lettuce is very cute.. but would worry about confusing my bunnies.. they aren't too bright you see. ;)

Right, coming out of lurking again.

I hate Jaegermeister, disgusting drink lol. Shouldn't say that really as its made in my hometown! And meister means master in german.

I wanted unusual names for DS but his father went on strike when I suggested Casey or Dakota lol. I wanted Natasha Louise if he had been a girl.

DD1's name was chosen by her father but I chose the spelling as I wanted it to be different. I wanted Megan for her. When I was in labour we tossed a coin between my choice and his and apparently he won lol. So Megan is her middle name and then he put Mary at the end as apparently that was his grandma's name and DD1 was born on the same day as her. So poor thing has got a really long name now.

I like Max for a boy, nice and easy and you can't shorten it.
