Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this or any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines/todailies are anything you need to do today and every day stuff like laundry, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie/binbag dance - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning, exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!

 pigpen - hope all is ok. What happened?!!!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

I'm in this week - thanks to Central Command! I'm in charge of the school run, as DS2 doesn't finish until Friday. No breakfast club/child minder needed. I'll go in to work Mon-Wed and Fri, making use of the free childcare to clear the CHAOS in class/storeroom. Hopefully I'll manage around 5 hours each day. It's DH's day off on Thursday, so we may go out somewhere.
I have some extras, too:
phone DS2's dentist
phone GP
phone my dentist (they cancelled Tuesday's appt )
print off stuff for holidays
check up on Muse tickets for Sept
sort insurance for holidays
book Moulin Rouge
Organised Mum order
order last bits of uniform (polos and Ts)
check that DS1 returns paperwork to college
get something to suppress weeds on patch of ground in back yard
plant last baskets and herbs
tidy back yard
use wii fit daily
sort prescriptions before holiday and buy joyride tablets
Ok, I'm off to get washing in/water plants/get DS2 ready for bed. Will catch up later.
Forgot to say: DS1 was bitten by a dog on his paper round this afternoon. It looks more like a graze and doesn't hurt, but I phoned NHS direct just in case. Will check with GP in the morning if his tetanus is up to date. Must also phone distributor for free paper to let them know that he won't be delivering to this house in future. Not sure whether (and how) to pursue it further, as he did go through the gate and there's a warning sign. xxx0 -
I'm still here and in, (when I can) Thanks all xx0

DD2 off on holiday for 3 [sniff] weeks with KH2/MIL2/whoever. Have established that KH2's OH believes that I don't clean, purely on the basis of DD2's clothing going over there filthy dirty and covered in cat hair. Next time, I shall send her a note, explaining that perhaps she could explain to DD2 the concept of PUTTING THE $^@(!£^$*$@&$@ CLEAN WASHING AWAY WHEN IT'S GIVEN TO HER! :mad
However, I have gained suitable revenge. DD was forced to engage in a major blitzing of her room today. Whilst I would have preferred to use the old fashioned means of Blitzing it (anyone got a spare Stuka anywhere?), the neighbours might have objected, so we;
Got rid of DD1's bed and mattress.
Stuffed the cpra and gibble she hasn't bothered taking to her father's into her drawers and sellotaped them shut.
Moved DD2's bed.
Vacuumed everywhere.
Thrown away 5 bin bags of assorted gibble and s***.
Moved around the musical instruments.
Found a mic that needs to be rewired. The Bloke shall be teaching me to resolder it.
Chucked a small storage bench which self-disassembled as it was touched and threw away 90% of the art related gibble inside.
Deluttered an awful lot of rude words about the room.
I made her ladyship work for 5 hours.
She has now departed happily, knowing her room is cleaner than it has been for a very long time.
On my list for tomorrow (as The Bloke's Mother is coming to stay ) is
Wash windows.
Relocate all but the books of extreme sentimental value to the charity shop, empty bookcase and make bed with poshest bedlinen.
Bunch of flowers on drawers.
and now I am going to declutter some coursework.
My life is non stop fun and laughter, isn't it?
Sigh.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
