  • I'm in from tomorrow.

Just been to Farnborough Airshow and saw your fave boys in red Soappie - who DS adores - he was very impressed that they kept waving to the crowds (or to me) as they taxied into formation to take off. He also now adores the Blades as they are "old" Reds pilots - I think he meant "ex" not "old" but it was a very funny explanation.

The new Eurofighter was mighty impressive and we loved seeing the A380 take off at the end. Tried very hard to explain why everyone stops for the BBMF, but hard for a 7 year old to see why they mean so much - will try again another day I think. Also very funny, unintentionally, commentary on the Army Air Corps collection section - its hard to think of planes & helicopters as being in "pretty" formations, but the guy on the mike thought they were pretty many times...LOL

I'm now very dusty and tired, no spoons left at all, so have decluttered DH to get a takeaway - and then an early night for me.

    Will jump in proper tomorrow,

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

I'm in. Will rope in DH to help on Monday and Tuesday as we're both working and I think he should help with the cleaning as well as the usual dailies on the days we're both working.

I've got 4 things ending on ebay tonight so will package those up ready for posting. Although I need to buy some more brown paper for posting tomorrow.

Hope you're feeling a bit better Pigpen and all is well with Squeak, although I'm sure your nerves are shot judging by the smoke alarm comment.

I am in for level ones again this week, though might try to get a head start tomorrow morning as have an extra couple of hours because I'm not in work. Not going to be a a good day off I'm afraid as I'll be at my uncle's funeral in the afternoon, but flying will help keep my mind off things to start with.

Thanks as ever to flylady central, hope pigpen, toots and soappie are all feeling better this week.

I met the Blades pilots last summer at a BBQ - you're son is right, they are both old (but not too old!) and ex... RA pilots. Lovely bunch of blokes. I have the opportunity to meet them again towards the end of this August but I'm not sure if I can make it...

And the BBMF is hard to explain to one so small...

Re the witty commentary - I remember hearing a tale of one air show commentator who played on the fog that had grounded everything. Apparently he gave a wonderful commentary about the Stealth bomber coming in, there it is, look how sleek it is... it's doing a turn, a pass, a barrel roll.... :rotfl:

Dinner done, chicken coop erected in side yard thanks to DS - rest of side yard a mess which will need sorting out in the week. Next weekend I think I'll put the chicks out there when I'm around so they can get used to their new home - as long as it's still warm.

It's still v. hot and v. humid - it's going to be uncomfortable sleeping tonight I think....

But, best go finish post 2 before Toots has my guts for garters..

Thanks to everyone for all they do and pigpen I hope you are all ok x
