You could also try this site, the clothes are more classic. Husband swears by them for his work shirts and we have also bought our son a few things from here, although the sizings seem to be huge on him.

  • I've always bought most of my DS's clothes secondhand, and I favour M&S clothes for durability, sensible washing instructions (I did not want to "hand wash only" toddlers' clothes!) styles which don't date too quickly and, importantly, consistent sizing so I can buy without having him try everything on, and I know it will fit.
For sportswear, most big brands (Adidas, Nike, Umbro etc) last well. I tried buying him some cheap synthetic shorts and T-shirts from Littlwoods catalogue once, and they were soon full of pulled threads.

I don't know where they were bought but they're all umbro, adidas and nike stuff, they're fabulous condition too as neighbour's sister's son had a growth spurt just after buying them apparently! Hopefully DS won't have a growth spurt for a while!!
sainsburys clothes are very good for children up to 10. M$S for good quality imo and sports world for sports gear.

i agree its not as much fun shopping for boys as it is girls

BUT you can have fun with it :) doesnt have to be boring

i love lil checked shirts and linen shorts ,with bucket hat lol in the summer ,jeans and tank top sets ,or a nice next cardigan in the winter

its nice to dress a boy up sometimes and not just have joggers and tee shirt or jeans lol

and i adore dungarees on baby boys awwwww :)

Gap and next stuff seems to last and wash well-either from the sale rail or car boot sale !.Primark stuff is cheap to begin with but doesn't last well.
There is a competion on the voucher board for 20 % or 25% off,|Adams ,I'l try and find the link.

The Reebok tracksuit I bought in the sale from jjb sports has lasted amazingly well, it still looks nearly new after two years of wear,I agree some things from Tesco,Primark, Asda et al are a false economy, but you do get some cracking clothes there that last through many washes and keep their shape.
For something like a tee shirt, try stretching it and see if it jumps back into shape. If not, don't buy it.

what about the gap retail outlets - you can usually get a good deal there. Or the Next Clearance shops. Getting good quality for half price. Agree about boys clothing though. Love OshKosh stuff for boys but only ever find it on hols in US

love Gap and Monsoon as well, I've also found Osh Kosh range of clothes wear well.
  • You can buy Osh Kosh at bigger Boots now - T K maxx is also good for kids clothes and designer makes can also be resold on ebay - probably get your money back!!!
