would you believe me if I said I don't know?....never had time for hobbies before due to bringing 5 kids up and working 12 hours a day for the last 30 years...I have plenty of time to investigate now though..

5? Blimey, I didn't know you had that many! ;)

Indeed you do have time to discover them. Perhaps you can knit JJ a jumper for Christmas, and be one of those traditional grans? :D

You certainly are an adventurous cool gran. I am rather jealous as I am older than you but still bogged down in the bringing up kids and working long days phase. I know you didn't take the easy route to your new freer status, but you certainly deserve a long and happy gran-hood.

In line with the cool gran thing, I've just realised that Taxi's not really in Devon...she's gone to Glastonbury! :rotfl:

Hi everyone....I'm back and doing the mundane things like washing...lol...

Had a lovely week with DH and met some lovely people whilst there. Don't think I'll do a national coach holiday again though for a number of reasons..the free bar |(7.30-10.30) had massive queues ,there wasn't enough tables and chairs in the entertainment area so you never knew if you'd get a seat..this in itself was quite stressful. We were on the 1st floor in the hotel and every floorboard in the place creaked so you could hear everybody on the floor above or on your corridor walking about which was really annoying when trying to sleep.

The plus points for the hotel were excellent service, staff and food...we also had a fantastic funny coach driver but the seats were rather cramped.

We spent time in Plymouth,Datmouth,Dartmoor,Exeter,Brixham,Babbacmbe, torquay,Paignton,Brixham and would like to spend time in some other areas too so have decided to go back next year but drive up and rent an appartment but uses the buses on a weekly ticket while there..we used buses on daily tickets whilst there this time as we had quite a few trips out..could easily have spent a few weeks there as it's so pretty and relaxing.

I would love to go there..so you're not far off the mark...I told my 24 year old daughter this and she said that it was full of drugs and that I'd not like it there but I'm sure I will:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
